If I could go lower than one star I would! This Burger King on Russ Ave. In Waynesville, NC. Does NOT deserve your business. Picture my last visit. Today, 1100 hours, lunch time and plenty of employees. The restaurant was not busy 4 or 5 customers. No waiting when we went in, straight to the counter. I ordered the mix n match 2 for 6 chicken sandwich and Whopper. (By the way if you want grilled chicken instead of friend they will tell you no right away so don't bother) when our food arrived the chicken sandwich was so dark, hard, and appeared to be burnt although they said it was fresh. This indicated that they hadn't changed the oil in many days. That or they lied. You decide. I took the chicken back and asked for a fresh sandwich to which the employee (an adult) replied "You want a Whopper intead?" I said "If you don't have a better looking piece of chicken, yes." She shook her head and rolled her eyes then walked off. (Still think you can "HAVE IT YOUR WAY"? NOPE! not happening. I called the corporate office, Carroll corp. One of the largest Burger King franchise's in the southeast. I got no answer from anyone including the operator so I called back. The operator answered and sent me to the district manager but I got his voicemail. I left my number but I have received no response to this point as I write this. My advice? AVOID BURGER KING IN WAYNESVILLE, NC. There is another store in Canton a few miles east on I-40 if you just HAVE to have a flamebroiled burger. Otherwise, there's a Wendy's next door. Just a...
Read moreThis place is normally the best Burger King, I mean 💯% the best!! But the two young men working today were awful. We got someone else's order, simple mistake. I told the man and he was so aggressively upset and tossed it in the trash. He realized one of the burgers was the right kind and was upset with me for his choice to toss it out (I tried to tell him but he was so mad, he couldn't hear me). After telling me I have to wait for a new burger because he tossed mine out, he handed me a new bag of food and told me to check it. I was checking the bag quickly because he was tapping his fingers for me to hurry. Again the food was wrong but at that point I just wanted to get out of there. Thank God I didn't ask for my veteran discount, the man probably would have really been upset with me. I will never go back to this restaurant again. I go around to many restaurants to eat in at and this is the first fast food place that I have ever seen or been to that they actually cater to the customer insomuch that they go out into the lobby just to talk to and ask if the customer needed anything and truly care. I personally haven't seen that in other fast food establishments, almost like having a wait staff. I've been coming to this store for over 35 years and even worked there when I was in school. Julia finally has the place where it's a pleasure to eat and feel welcomed where they care about the customer instead of themselves and their problems. FYI.
