Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Webb City

Just moved to the area and after unloading the Uhaul, decided to grab a quick dinner. Since we've been living in the middle of nowhere for the past 5 years, we hadn't had Popeye's Chicken for a while. Did the drive thru thing and ordered a big meal for the family. Understandably, they had me pull forward and wait as they dropped my tenders fresh. Took a little while, which I expected and all the sudden a workers came out to apologize and offer me a free desert for my wait (which wasn't that long, in my mind anyways). Then, a few minutes later, the manager came out to bring me the cheesecake thing and again apologized for the long wait. I told him it wasn't an issue but thanked him for the treat. Not long after, my food came out and the guy told me he threw in a few extra tenders for my wait. Again, not that long. Got home and the family 12 piece now had 17 tenders that were all hotter than the face of the sun. Wanna guess what I'm having for breakfast this morning before starting to unpack boxes? Great...

As someone who works in the food service industry, i’m completely disappointed and disgusted by my recent visit to this popeyes. the food is good, the wait for two combos however was not. no restaurant should take 15 minutes to make a couple meals, basic meals at that. On top of that, at the time i came in, around 8:20 pm, there’s no reason the entire lobby should be swarmed with employees who are “on their break” all at once, speaking in vulgarities and making racial comments making my visit nothing short of a trip back to junior high lunch hour. I was also informed that they would not have any sweet or unsweet tea for me, even in the back where they may have some for the drive thru, but a half hour later, a different customer was OFFERED sweet tea by a different member of staff saying they could make some of he wanted her to, making my initial impression a complete lie and i was more than offended. Please for the LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY, do NOT come here!! Multiple reasons.

Multiple 1 Star reviews, they are all correct. They are not handling food products correctly and could get you very sick! I’m surprised no one has mentioned that already. They are NOT paying their employees like they should be from DAY ONE!! A lot of people are OWED more than $500 and they’ve only been open for almost a month. They fire people illegally and not paying them either! The only thing GOOD about this location is it looks nice on the outside.

Poor quality, poor management, don’t waste your time here and go somewhere else! These owners are not giving these people a chance to get trained and running around like a chicken with their head cut off. They need to be inspected because I guarantee they would shut their doors! They literally have chicken and product up for HOURS past the food safety...
