Apparently, there was a price change in the menu, but it wasn't updated, yet. (We'll see, if that's the truth and gets updated, at all.) The manager explained that it was to take care of his employees, which was understandable. (Also, price changes didn't make sense. This is a franchise, meaning, if one establishment changes prices, then all HTeaO branches would need to follow suit, and can only be authorized by those from their headquarters. One branch can't simply change prices, however they want.) However, you need to notify the price change first, before customers purchase anything. Though the reasoning was understandable, this was a violation of ethical business practices. This seemed shady and unacceptable. Always, always, notify your customers of any changes clearly, before having them adhere to your products and prices.
Tea is good (which is the reason, why I'm giving it more than 1 stars), but the actions of what happened was unethical. The reasoning was understandable, but the execution was poor. Instead of gaining more customers, you're losing them. Paid over 2$ for a 24oz drink that was originally $1.59; again, with no prior notice, no existing literature or pictures indicating such anywhere, or being told verbally. They do a decent job and I was mentally exhausted, but realized after stepping out, what transpired was not ok. I enjoyed the place, as my energy booster, with competitive prices for tea against other places that are overpriced. Now, their prices are basically the same. I'll find somewhere...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood tea but the rudeness and bad vibes from the staff made me hesitant to drink here. Iāve only been 4 and the staff is very rude and ignorant to those who donāt know exactly what they want. I asked for an Arnold Palmer, the boy said āsorry? Do you mean the Arnold RYAN?ā I said, āI suppose so yes, Iām new here I just wanted some tea with lemonadeā I mentioned I wanted a little bit of blueberry in it too and he didnāt even respond on the speaker for a moment then said rudely āso literally the summeradeā¦.ā And I didnāt even know how to respond because like I said, I donāt typically order from here- how was I suppose to know? The staff is a bit or miss. Sometimes nice, sometimes theyāre unhelpful and rude. That experience was so unpleasant that I didnāt even enjoy the drink that I was excited for because his attitude while making was so bad that I wasnāt interested in coming back. I know this newer generation isnāt so interested in giving good customer service but at the end of the day, being kind and helpful is apart of the job. I truly think management should talk to their staff and reenforce being kind to customers. While theyāre there everyday, they are the face of the business and the most crucial thing to a customer. Bad service repels customers. Good service will create...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'd give it 10 stars if I could. This was my first time. But I can promise you it won't be my last. The employee, that was at the cash register, was super nice. Walked me through the app process (I already put the app onto my phone). The business was very clean. A huge variety of different flavored teas to choose from. They have little sample size cups to taste the tea flavor before purchasing. That was a huge bonus for me. I'm not a green tea fan, but since I was able to taste it (before buying) I chose the blueberry green tea. And it was delicious. They have fruit, that you can add in to your drink, but I didn't get them this time but understand they are an extra charge if you get them-unless the fruit is lime, or lemon. They have the good small pebble ice, another plus. They also had a section to purchase tumblers and glasses and coolers from Yeti and other companies. That is neat. Thank you! Love this place. Stop by if you're in the Webster area. You'll be sad if you don't. Side note- Please ask corporate to build a...
