I called in an order and specifically asked for no mayo and no cheese and to add avocado to both sandwiches. I was asked to repeat that request. I was told it would take 30 minutes. I was asked to provide credit card information over the phone. I noticed I was not told my total, but figured it would be on the receipt. I arrived 20 minutes early and patiently waited in my car. I came in and picked up my order. I drove to meet my lunch companion and discovered there was cheese on both sandwiches. Also, the person who took my order input it online (which I specifically did not do on purpose choosing to call it in), so there was no total on the receipt. I do not order food online because every time I did that with Mod Pizza, someone stole my card information.
So, obviously, I was mad. My companion and I have chosen a plant-based diet for health reasons, to avoid cholesterol medication. He had to eat it anyway because it was either that or starve and go back to work hungry. I,however, drove the order back to the location and spoke with the manager. He offered to remake the order, but I asked for only the sandwich and the avocado. He also said he would refund the entire order. I am giving three stars for the manager (well five averaged with zero and rounded up) and zero for the rest. If the food is delicious (this is my first, and possibly only, experience with this establishment), I will give another. Everyone screws up sometime, but this one ruined lunch with my significant other.
UPDATE: Yes the food was delicious. Yes, I will be back and order in person (and I will be sure to check my order...
Read moremy girlfriend brought me here to try it out because she swears up and down about this place so im gunna give a little breakdown.
when we first showed up we got seated. the host with the topknot let us pick the specific seat we wanted (shout out to him) and we were chillin.
now im not sure what happened but i think they might have been shorthanded or we may have caught them in between a shift change or hell maybe even the spot we picked to sit threw them off but it took quite a while to get someone to get us coffee and take our drink orders.
However. my girlfriend did speak up about the wait time and they corrected it very swiftly. no attitudes no problems just "im very very sorry" and then fixed it. I LOVE THAT. sometimes you really just need to bring attention to the problem. it happens. we're all human. what matters is how its handled right?
FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. they brought it out it. was hot and delicious. ate it so fast i forgot to even take pictures. that should tell you quite a bit. i order the roast beef and havarti sandwhich and had a cup of the soup of the day which was a creamy vegetable soup. it was bussin. couldnt finish it all at the table because it was quite a lot of food. much more than i was expecting. and lemme tell u my leftover wont be around tomorrow 😂

Read moreI gave this place 2 stars because the food is good. But after my visit today, I won't be returning. I realize it's Valentine's Day and I'm sure they are trying to turn over a lot of tables, but if I wanted a rushed dining experience, I would go to La Madeleine down the road. Today they got my order wrong, but what bothered me the most was the wait staff trying to rush us in a very obvious and transparent manner by over-bussing our table, taking each dish immediately upon finishing. Actually the waiter tried to take my plate while I was still clearly eating. He was like, "Are you finished with this," and started grabbing it from me before I could answer. We were considering ordering mimosas but he brought us the check before we had an opportunity to ask. As we were finishing our coffee, a random hostess walked up to us to ask if we needed anything, then we could see her and another hostess staring at us from their stand by the door. The coup de grace was when the waiter came up and took away out water as we were finishing our coffee. The staff at First Watch in Clear Lake today made it abundantly clear that we had worn out our welcome and that they wanted us to leave. The message was received--we are never going back there again. We will try Snooze A.M. right down the road next time we...
