First time customers. We walked in and quickly learned it was kiosk ordering. Not a fan. The reason we eat out is so we can be waited on and have nothing more to do than eat our food. We were paying cash, so an employee did have to assist with our order, to give change. My husband ordered the double shack burger with jalapeno & avocado add-ons and I ordered the single shack burger with onion add-on. In addition we ordered the Korean cheese fries, a milkshake, and a water. And the fact, that the kiosk asks for a tip, when we're entering our own order, getting our own napkins and condiments and cleaning our own table up afterwards, who are we tipping? Don't the employees get an hourly wage? They should tip us! After ordering we went to sit down and had to move tables four different times to find one that wasn't sticky with cup rings in addition to crumbs on the bench seats. Once the food came and my husband took a bite, he realized he didn't get his jalapeno or avocado add-on and I did not get my onion add-on. Glad we didn't tip. My husband was hungry & just wanted to eat & after noticing on his receipt he wasn't charged for the add-ons he decided to just let it go. I did tell the employee about the onion & they brought me some. No plates, only the single tray the food was served on. Since the burger is in a half sleeve and not wrapped, there's nothing to set it on while eating. We had to lay a bunch of napkins on the table, to lay our burgers on. And the burgers are kid menu size. I couldn't believe the small size. Even my husband's double! Originally we were both going to order the limited time specialty shakes that were showing as available on the menu but learned right before submitting our order that they were out of the ingredients. So those particular shakes should have been listed as temporararily unavailable or not on the menu at all. I will say that the food tasted good, but the burgers are sooo small, with one thin piece of soft lettuce & 2 small silver dollar slices of green..yes green tomato for the price that is charged is ridiculous. For two small burgers (as there aren't any other size other than extra patties), fries, a shake, and a water I think $35 is very overpriced for what you get. The burgers are HUGE at "The Burger Joint" down the street for nearly the same price and honestly taste better. And your waited on. You do order at a counter, but the employee is doing the work, including cleaning our table and earns the 20% tip we generally give. So unfortunately we will not be back. Although the taste of the food IS tasty, the price is not worth it for the size of the burger, the tables were not clean, I'm not a fan of self kiosk ordering, AND while we were there....we inadvertently learned that three employees had walked out while we were eating and quit their jobs. Which right there, tells me a lot about how the place is run. Again, the food is tasty and the employee we interacted with was friendly, there just are too many negatives to outweigh the positive. But I wish the...
Read moreI've been to a few of their locations and never had a problem until the Baybrook location. I get that they just opened and it's busy. But they can't use that as an excuse for what happened today.
I went inside and ordered with an actual cashier. I told him what I wanted and asked for my order to be in separate bags. One of the burgers was a cheeseburger and he asked if I wanted any toppings. I said everything. I paid and he handed me a number.
I went and waited along a wall. While I was waiting, an employee did stop by and asked what number order mine was twice. I told her both times and she didn't say anything. Finally about 30 MINUTES in, someone approached me who I assumed was the manager. He asked me where did I order from and what was my order number. I told him that I ordered with the cashier and told him my order number.
I see him go the register and try to look for my order. I see him talk to the cashier and from what it looks like. My ticket was right there and I saw him bring it into the kitchen. He didn't say anything else to me. Maybe 5-7 minutes later, I decided to approach him and asked how much longer because I've been waiting for more than 30 minutes now. All he told me was that he just put in the ticket and said sorry. That was it. Didn't explain to me that the kitchen never got my order or they lost it. It just seemed like he didn't care at all. I get that you're busy and mistakes happen. But at least tell me what happened, that is all I need.
A few minutes later he finally approach me with my order. I checked and they got my order wrong. I was missing an order of fries. So he went to grab me another order. I should have checked more carefully while I was there because when I got home, my cheese burger was missing toppings. It was a plain cheese burger, no lettuce or tomatoes or anything. I already told the cashier that I wanted all toppings since he ASKED ME. And my order wasn't separated.
Basically they lost my ticket and didn't want to admit it to me. I waited 40 minutes for my food and for it to be missing stuff. I just wished the manager was honest about the whole truth with me instead of just saying I just put...
Read moreMy wife and I saw that they opened a location in the Baybrook area and felt like we had to try it. I gave the food one star mostly because the prices and the quality/taste of the food. Do not add up if you are looking to get a burger, fries, and a milkshake Expect to pay at least $20 per person. The quality of all of that food is not high enough to cost the amount that it does in my opinion I ordered the burger that had the jalapeño sausage on it, I cannot remember what it was called, and I also ordered a coffee, milkshake, and an order of cheese fries. Let’s talk about the burger first. The patty itself was very flat and lacking flavor. There was barely any sauce on the burger. The only thing in the entire burger that really felt like it had any taste was the jalapeño in the sausage. The fries were not terrible, but I feel like if I did not order cheese fries they would have been, even with the cheese, I would only give these fries three stars. Finally, let’s talk about that milkshake. This place is literally called Shake shack. Why does Jack-in-the-Box make better milkshakes shake shack? It was honestly the most mid milkshake I have had the only reason that this is not a one or two review is because the service was good, they go out of their way to try to make sure you have an easy and good first experience, they were very helpful and nice. The food was just simply not worth the money. I wish I would have taken pictures of the food, so you could see how small the meat patties were. So overall I would give the burger, one star, fries, two stars, and the milkshake another one Star I would say, this place is probably worth trying at least once, don’t just take my opinion, but do not go in with extremely high expectations for the food overall was a pretty disappointing experience, for the amount of money that we paid for two people to eat we could’ve gone and got better food two or three times over at some other fast...
