I don’t know what is going on with the CAVA in Waverly, but the service here is consistently awful. Every single time I walk in, it feels like the employees go out of their way to avoid helping customers. As soon as you step through the door, they suddenly become so busy—doing everything except taking orders—leaving one person on the line to handle everyone, and that one person always has the worst attitude imaginable.
If you hate your job that much, don’t show up. Because what you’re not going to do is take it out on paying customers who are literally keeping this place running. The employees are young, lazy, unprofessional, and have absolutely no sense of customer service. Ask them for anything and they hit you with a nasty look or an annoyed sigh, like you’re bothering them by ordering off their own damn menu.
The lack of training is glaring. They act like they know everything but can’t even keep a straight attitude for five minutes. It honestly seems like their manager doesn’t care either, because this has been going on for months, and I know I’m not the only one who’s experienced it.
I spend $45+ here multiple times a week, and the service is always garbage. Today was the final straw. I ordered two bowls—one for myself, one for my mom. Hers was a greens & grains bowl with everything else on the side—something I’ve ordered plenty of times. But today the guy on the line wanted to be smart and say, “So you want every single thing on the side?” in the most passive-aggressive tone. Looked me dead in the face with a whole attitude just because I asked him to do his job. And this is not a one-time thing. Every time I ask for something slightly “custom” (that is already an option), they act like I’m asking for the moon and stars.
They don’t greet you. They don’t smile. They barely even speak unless it’s with attitude. And it’s not just one or two employees—it’s the whole team. The girls are rude, the guys are rude, and everyone acts like they’d rather be...
Read moreOk. This is twice I have been here past 8pm. I have gone to the University area Cava and love it. That place is well run. This one is not. On a Saturday night all young people working. No one can make an order without picking up a dirty card and holding it while they make your food. The cards tell them what to put in the bowl. So poor training. There was food everywhere all over the counters where they are making food. There is food on the tables in the restaurant. No one thinks to clean them properly. Thank goodness for wet wipes in my purse. The trash cans were full and there were few people in there eating. They were out of a lot of ingredients. Someone finally came out to clean the tables. Using a rag and a bucket. It didn't occur to her to wring out the rag before wiping the table. Water sloshing off the tables onto the floor. A lawsuit waiting to happen. We paid by cash. 57.24 out of 3 20 dollar bills. No one knew how to make change. So the guy basically rounded off and handed me 3 dollars. I tried to give him the 24 cents back so his till would not be incorrect at the end of the night. He stared at me and could not grasp what I was trying to do to help him. If he does this all day, someone is losing out. I think the owner needs to stop by at night and see what is going on. If this was my business, I would fire anyone who didn't know how to clean up, take out trash or make change. Obviously, the owner has more money...
Read moreI eat at cava quite often, foods always delicious and fresh! But the customer service is horrible…. Last week I ordered online from cava, when I went to pick up my food the representative at the window told me the app wasn’t working and they didn’t receive my order even though I was charged for what I ordered. I showed the representative my receipt via email and he still said he couldn’t give me the food I ordered and I would have to call my bank to get the charge disputed. Today I went to cava again hoping for a better experience… ordered online went to pick up my food. When I got home which was a 28 minute drive, my bowl was only half full and was missing my pita bread❗️. I decided to go back to cava to get my food remade When I got there the window representative told me that’s their potion sizes and he would not remake my food. I asked to speak for the general manager which the window representative told me they were “unavailable”. I then explained to him I eat at cava weekly and the portions were definitely off and I just wanted my food remade which he finally agreed to remake my food. Cava employees need to be trained better and understand the customer is always right. The employee should never argue with the customer especially if cava is in the wrong. Even though cava is delicious and healthy I would not recommend eating at this location especially if you value time, money and...
