My husband & family & I have eaten there two or three times over the past five years. Most of the time the staff, owners & managers all have pretty horrible attitudes, but the food was good, so we gave it another shot. This time we never even made it inside to eat because as soon as we parked some guy ran over saying he’s the valet & he wants $10, so we asked why we should pay him if we are parking right here in the parking lot, he rudely said, no, I have to move your car down the block & park on the street. You can’t park here in the parking lot!!! Meanwhile, the sign says clearly that any restaurant patrons can park there. As my husband pointed this out to him he got really mad with us, which made us very aggravated. It made no sense at all, so I went inside for two minutes & spoke to one of the managers. She was surprisingly very nice & patient, but I was furious by then & was not having it. Conveniently there was a police truck parked in the front for quite a while , probably for reasons like this. He came over & started talking to the parking attendant & then to the woman from inside & us. He very nicely explained that this is how they do things here & this is how they run their business & that they do it all the time because they’re very busy. So I said, well they won’t be getting our business ever again. I’m sure a lot of people don’t like it either. The average food & the service, which is extremely slow & sky high prices are really not worth the headache. I’d rather go to Flaming Burritos on Park Avenue where the food is much better, fresher, more affordable & the staff is incredibly kind & attentive. P.S. It’s not the first time we had problems there. I wrote a review 4 1/2 years ago when my husband & I got married & we had about 10 people all together, but we were waiting for two guests to arrive, but they wouldn’t seat us at all until everyone arrived!!! Thank God it was April & warm weather. We had to wait in the backyard & sit on a bunch of broken chairs that were dusty, but we still stayed & ate there because we had a reservation & they also threatened to charge us if we didn’t keep our reservation. This is the kind of backwards business they run which is despicable. When I spoke to one of the managers or owners named , Fausta or something like that she was no help at all, just arrogant, ignorant & dismissive. If you want to find a place to get even with anybody in your life & purposely have a horrible time & destroy their day, then go there it’ll definitely do...

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to find an array of tantalizing options on the menu. The enchiladas, quesadillas, and burritos, all bathed in rich red and green sauces, were a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. However, the real showstopper was the guacamole, prepared tableside in a traditional stone earthenware molcajete. Watching the avocados being skillfully mashed and infused with lime and spices was a feast for the eyes, and the resulting dip was nothing short of divine.
But the indulgence didn't stop there. Charrito's spoils its patrons with unlimited nacho chips accompanied by an assortment of savory salsas, each one more delicious than the last. Whether you prefer a mild salsa or crave the fiery kick of a spicy green sauce, there's something to satisfy every palate.
In conclusion, Charrito's is more than just a restaurant – it's an invitation to savor the vibrant flavors of Mexico in an atmosphere brimming with warmth and hospitality. Read moreI had a wonderful experience three years ago...this time around ...not so much. It was a party of 11... The seats were set up by big window with the best view of across town (sooo pretty at night). . We went for brunch. 6 adults 5 children. The decor is fun. It's got all the colors and flowers, day of the dead type themed. . In all truth the server was awful. At brunch, one would expect there to be coffee. ANY and EVERY restaurant I have ever been to has it. Have I missed something? How is this possible? My partner was flabbergasted, he said what do people do for coffee at brunch then? The waiter with a straight face says, "go to the gas station.' my partner had to ask for water an astonishing number of three times to get a beverage. He had to ask? No water at the table? You see children there. Okkk. The waiter has no personality. He seemed to be bothered by us. Which is a shame!! It was a table with three quarters of the people in the service and hospitality industry, we LOVE to tip well. Over tippers. Not that day. . Food: It was better than ok...but not great. It wasn't presentation or the dishes. It was all standard stuff. It could have used more flavor. The mole sauce was very good. I'll give them that! The brunch menu is pretty decent and the prices are in a good range. The guacamole app gets made at the table, which is nice for pics....it was good except, why no tomatoes?? It needed that. Aren't there tomatoes in guacamole? That would have made it REALLY good. I do like that the server making it asked did I wanted to taste it while making. . I am glad the gratuity was included. Because the waiter truly destroyed the experience. His inattentiveness and laissez faire attitude. Frankly, I was embarrassed to have invited my friends for brunch there.
Never again and I do not recommend. Go to Rosa Mexicano. They are much much better with the same kind of feel and food, except a step up and way...
