Tully's Beer & Wine — Restaurant in Wells

Stopped in Saturday afternoon with my sisters to grab some wine & beer for the evening. We are from out of state and this was our first time stopping at this store. We walked in and were not greeted just stared at by the man at the counter. The three of us walked around aimlessly unfamiliar with the locations local beers. Luckily a man came from the back asking if he could be of help. I didn't catch his name but he had long hair and was very friendly. He was super helpful however, the man working at the counter is extremely unfriendly. He was very rude about asking for all our IDs. I understand it's protocol however, really pay attention to how you treat people. We were surprised at the cost of 4 beers being $20 and change. You should post your prices. We recently visited Tully's for the first time while on a quick get-away to Ogunquit. It was recommended by a waitress as THE spot for craft beers. When we found the store, our feeling was "oh no...it's a strip mall liquor store", but that was quickly replaced by "Oh my God, this is craft beer Nirvana". This is an amazing place and the hardest part is figuring out what you want and that is where the staff shines. Very well-educated staff, and very friendly. This was a great experience versus the typical trip to the package store. Intelligent conversation about excellent beer. Anyone who truly likes beer will appreciate this store. Its unassuming strip mall location may incline one to believe that there isnt anything special inside, that assumption would be incorrect.

Tullys is a moderately sized establishment with a very nice variety of beers. This includes brews of all different styles. What makes it truly extraordinary is that they allow you to buy singles of any beer in the store at the same rate of the 4 or 6 packs. This allows you to try singles of a wide variety of beers - this is where the good variety really becomes of great benefit.
