Smitty's Pancake House — Restaurant in Wenatchee

Maybe it was an off day but our service was slow & the food was disappointing. Our waitress was telling everyone she'd "be right out with that", but then would never return. We waited at least a half an hour for our food & when it came my Dad's waffle was stone cold, the butter wouldn't even melt. (We did return the waffle & they did correct it by making a fresh one. But I can spot an instant waffle mix a mile away. Not scratch made) My Mom & I had omelets that were lukewarm, & very plain. The two kids meals of Mac n cheese & chicken nuggets were obviously just frozen/instant food & again barely warm. The only one meal that came out hot & looking good was my son's hamburger. And he said it was a great burger. So as for the rest, I'm not sure - we're from out of town & we don't eat out a lot but we definitely wouldn't go back for a second try. With everyone's budgets as tight as they are, if it's not fresh & hot, it's not...

This is my 3rd and last visit here. First time was above average for food. 2nd visit was standard. 3rd time was the charm , Server/ Waitress said to me as she served me ham that was burnt on one side and not on the other. Would you like me to have him cook another piece of ham that one looks a little terrible.. her words. She still got a $10 tip however the cook in the back with a beard should have never served this on a plate to a customer, UN - PROFESSIONAL!!!. ..He should be terminated! The hash Browns were Greasy and hard, the eggs were burnt on one side raw on the other. Toast felt like it was drowned with butter. I hold the cook fully responsible , it's not the server's fault. Did I mention this was after a 20 minute wait to mess it up. ( And no they weren't busy , 11 people in the restaurant 3 at my table ) I promise I will advertise for you. ... .3 STRIKES...

The coffee was weak and lukewarm served in a caraf. I ordered 2 eggs over medium with sourdough toast and hash browns. My husband and I both got coffee, he didn't order any food. They brought 1 caraf. It was nearly $18. My eggs were undercooked. The hash browns had a sour taste. My toast was warmed white bread. My husband mentioned to the server that he understands that we are all struggling but the price was a little steep for what we got. She straight up said "If you want cheap Denny's is your best bet" We told her we don't mind paying for quality food and quality service. She didn't hear that because she walked away as he was talking. For $18 I should have been licking my plate instead of leaving half my food on it. I thought it was a "mom & pop" but from a quick Google it looks like a Chain store...
