Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Wentzville

I've been anxious to try Marco's since they opened up here in Wentzville, and finally had my chance this afternoon. My family and I dropped in mid-afternoon and were pleased with the decor and the open, airy feel of the space. We ordered a large specialty pizza and a medium specialty and used a coupon for free breadsticks. For the most part, the pizza dough was fresh and not doughy and the ingredients were fresh, too. My only problem with the pizzas was that the sauces didn't cover more of the crust - there was about a 2 inch gap from the outside of the crust to the sauce - too much dough without enough sauce. Our breadsticks were just so-so. They were dense and doughy and they came after we had nearly had our fill of our pizzas. So, though our first time there wasn't stellar, the possibilities are still there because it's all about the food and if you serve good, fresh food, you'll do well in Wentzville. Make sure to bus your tables more regularly and don't allow the soda to run dry so that all the customer experiences is good food, a clean atmosphere, and good customer service. We'll go again and I hope they work out the kinks by the time...

UPDATE: Gave them another try last week, and I'm happy to report the pizza was very good again. Toppings all the way to the edge, and plenty of them. Hoping they have resolved all previous issues. It's been one of our favorite places for so long...hoping it continues that way!

We've been 1-2 times a week customers for over two years, but definitely noticed a difference since the new owners took over, especially the last few weeks. I, too, hope you invite the old owners back to teach the staff to make the food correctly! On one visit, the chicken club sandwich had almost no cheese, and the next time, almost no bacon - and what bacon was there was fried so hard it had no flavor - or maybe it's also a different brand that is less flavorful? The last two thin crust pizzas have had a crispy nonedible border around the outside without any toppings. And especially today, the toppings were skimpy on the entire pizza. In our family Friday nights have been pizza nights. I’ve seen other Marco’s pizza places in the area, but just never took the dive. A friend recently excitedly shared with me her recommendation of Marco’s new location in Wentzville. So, we decided to go for it. I ordered a couple of different items so we could get an overall feel of the flavor. When I pulled up to the location I was surprised (and pleased) to find out they have a drive-thru pick up window! I was happy with the customer service I received and even met the franchise owner. We actually all enjoyed the flavors and will add this to our list of approved pizza places. I also just signed up for their e-club and hope they have some enticing deals to lure me back! (On a side note...we’ve been watching a tv show called The Profit. It’s about business and costs associated with doing so. I noticed their pizza boxes sure have a lot of color AND print even on the bottom.
