We were a party of 5, my 3 kids husband and myself not an uncommonly big party. First, we joined the waitlist ahead, were quoted 20 to 30 min wait, which then turned to 30-40 minutes. My girls love texas roadhouse and this one is so close to our home so we were ok with the max 40 min wait 🕑 We ended up waiting 60 minutes to be called to the "deck" only to be parked there ⛔️ for an additional 10 minutes. Then we finally get seated, get the rolls with no butter I mean not a big deal usually but that is what makes Texas Roadhouse appealing so how can they serve the rolls without butter which by the way took 10 minutes to get. Then we order our drinks and there's a fly in my husband's tea 😝. We ordered food right away once we sat down because everyone was starving. It took about 40 minutes for our food to come out. So 2 hours later we finally eat. Service was alright, not like our usual Texas Roadhouse restaurant. I understand they are new, but all restaurants should train their employees so customers can't notice they are new, especially when they are barely opening the restaurant. No apology for the wait, the fly in the drink, the time it took for the food to come out or anything. If I want to stay close to home, we'll stick to Longhorn steakhouse, where there is always great service. If my kids want Roadhouse, we'll travel to Pharr, which, by the way, is always much more busy than this one was today and is...
Read moreGreat service and good tonight. My daughter's steak was a little done, but that was the only issue with the food. The rolls are so light and fluffy. We finished two baskets.
The parking lot was pretty crowded, and we got there a little after 4 pm on a Thursday. I can't imagine how busy it is on a Friday night.
There was a ton of staff. We did not have to wait for anything, and we were asked by several people if we needed anything. Glasses were kept full, and everyone was super nice.
We had the early special. I got the 6 ounce sirloin with a loaded baked potato and fresh vegetables. That and the bread was more than enough food.
Had the 16 oz ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes. Steak was a bit salty, but otherwise, the meal was great. Service was a bit lacking. Friday evening, so 30-45 minute wait was no surprise. Being put on a number once you're called and standing there like cattle in a chute wasn't nice. Waitress was polite but was either busy elsewhere or just doesn't check on tables much.
Food was good. the service was just below adequate tonight.
09/23/24. Had the chicken fried steak with white gravy. I'm not a fan. Gravy had a slightly sweet taste, and steak was just okay. The batter was crisp and stuck to the meat, but the taste...
Read moreFood was great, we had lemonade which was wonderful... the bread was hot and the butter was NOT frozen, thank you whoever in kitchen prep!
We arrived at 4 pm opening, the bartender Thomas was immediately on the ball, taking multiple orders, serving drinks, etc.... we started at the bar to eat dinner to avoid the wait. It was so cold my wife, wearing a sweater asked for us to be moved. They moved us to the wall closest to the door and furthest north, it was nice and warm.
Our new server was Lizette (I hope I got that right) she was wonderful. The order transfer from the bar went well she checked on us multiple times, perfect 5 star wait staff service as well.
Under the title "attention to detail" so nice of manager DJ to check on us, recognize my Military cap and OFFER a military discount without me asking for it. Wait staff around the globe could learn from his example. Simple attention to detail it was so appreciated. Thank you DJ and others... The inside experience was great... Now if we could teach the City of Weslaco planning commission to require safe adequate parking. If the business does not have the land, require them to build a two/three story parking garage with MORE handicap...
