I first found this establishment on door dash. I was shocked to find an organic restaurant with so many vegan/gluten free options. I had delivery twice from them before finally stopping in for lunch on our way out of town. The aroma that hits you as soon as you walk in the door is intoxicating, if I could bottle it, I would. The skill, care and attention to detail that goes into each dish is apparent and unmatched. In the few days I was there I enjoyed the mushroom risotto, crab cake sandwich, Mac and cheese, pesto pasta, bean “meat balls”, flourless chocolate cake and pumpkin bread pudding. My boyfriend also ordered a smoked flounder sandwich, he’s not a foodie and he usually complains when I take him to places like this but he said it was the best thing he had eaten in a long time.
I immediately started texting family in the area and they already knew about this place and said to try to gelato next time. Trust me, there will be a next time. I’d go back to Cape May just for this place. Our waitress was wonderful, the dining room was beautiful, I even bought a shirt on my way out.
It’s not often that I’m blown away by restaurants because my diet is so strict, this place blew my mind. I’ll be dreaming about that Mac and cheese until I can get back there.
To the owners and staff: thank you for what you’re doing. Your hard work and skill is obvious in every meal you put out, and I appreciate it so much. If you ever decide to expand and open a place in Northeast Pennsylvania, I’ll be your best...
Read moreMy husband and I are both vegan and were very excited to try this restaurant.
My husband has a nut allergy (peanuts, walnuts, cashews, hazelnuts, pistachios, etc). We informed the staff when we ordered, and they seemed to take it seriously.
Unfortunately, my husband started eating his meal and immediately started having tingling/swelling in his mouth and throat. Luckily, I had his benadryl in the car!
The bummer is the kitchen doesn't know where the reaction came from and reassured us that they didn't use nuts. This is the most frustrating situation, and we fear for the next customer with allergies.
We ended up leaving due to my husband being sick, when we left he was vomiting.
The staff sent me with my meal still and wouldn't take payment, which is a very kind gesture. They were all very nice with this tough situation.
Our concern is that there was no answer as to why my husband had this reaction, and his only allergy is nuts (not seeds, not coconut).
Situations like this make eating out scary and difficult. I hope the kitchen can figure out where the contamination came from.
The food I ate was amazing and flavorful (vegan ceasar salad). I personally would go back for the food but unfortunately can't risk it with my husband. Very scary!!!! Wish we...
Read moreGood Earth = Great Food (Buona Terra = Ottimo Cibe). The restaurant is not what you might think when you first hear the name. It is not Chinese. It is not hippie-dippy, granola crunchy. What it is: organic, vegan, seasonal farm fresh, glutten-free and fantastic. Located in an out of the way, slightly seedy strip shopping center/commercial condo complex in West Cape May, it is a hidden culinary gem. Chef Rosettani brings the finest local ingredients and combines them with his culinary talents and traditions from his native Italy to create healthy, clean and deliciously flavorful food. Simple, yet sophisticated. Offerings include fresh fish, organic & glutten free pastas, soups, salads, whole grain breads and even pizza, along with other vegetarian and vegan dishes and delicious desserts. The venue is intimate, with a small number of tables and an open kitchen. The pricing is more than reasonable given the quality and freshness of the ingredients and the proficiency and personal pride in the preparation. Given our glutten free needs and organic preferences, a real find on our recent visit...
