Krispy Kreme is a well-known American doughnut company that has built a strong reputation for its iconic glazed doughnuts and freshly made products. Here's a summary of what people generally say about Krispy Kreme:
Signature Glazed Doughnut: The Original Glazed Doughnut is by far the most famous item on the menu, loved for its light, fluffy texture and sweet glaze. When the "Hot Now" sign is on, customers can enjoy these doughnuts fresh off the production line, which adds to the experience.
Variety of Flavors: Krispy Kreme offers a wide range of doughnuts beyond the Original Glazed, including filled, chocolate, and seasonal varieties. Many customers appreciate the variety, although opinions on the non-glazed options can vary.
Coffee and Other Beverages: Krispy Kreme also serves coffee and other beverages, but these tend to receive mixed reviews. Some find the coffee to be a good complement to the doughnuts, while others feel it's not as strong or flavorful as other coffee chains.
Customer Experience: The customer experience at Krispy Kreme locations is generally positive. Many locations allow customers to watch the doughnut-making process, which adds a fun element, especially for families and kids. However, experiences can vary depending on the location, with some reviews noting inconsistent quality or service.
Nostalgia and Brand Loyalty: Many customers express a strong sense of nostalgia and brand loyalty towards Krispy Kreme, often linking their visits to childhood memories or family traditions. This loyalty often leads to a more forgiving view of occasional quality issues.
Price Point: Some customers feel that Krispy Kreme doughnuts are priced higher than average, especially compared to local doughnut shops. However, many believe the quality justifies the cost, particularly for the Original Glazed.
Overall, Krispy Kreme remains a beloved brand for many, particularly for those who crave the sweet, warm goodness of their freshly...
Read morePre-ordered and paid yesterday by using app for pick up this morning. Krispy Kreme has let me down again on this, my third visit since they opened. I didn't actually taste any of the 2 dozen doughnuts because I purchased them for my grandson to take to a gathering. So if product quality is brought to my attention later, I will edit this review. When we arrived, the parking lot and drive thru were ridiculously overwhelmed with cars and traffic. (It put me in the mind of that one chicken place before they came up with better drive thru strategies.) I had planned to use the drive thru to pick up my prepaid order. That was obviously going to take a very long time so I pulled into the curbside slot and called. No one answered. I advised my grandson that he needed to go inside to get the order. While he headed in and got into a huge line, I tried calling again. This time someone answered and I said I was calling about my order. The girl asked what was wrong with it?? I hesitated and said, actually asking to see if it can be brought to curbside as it is prepaid. I was told they were too busy and to come in. Had I been alone, I would have had to get in that long line inside or in the drive thru as I am mobility challenged. Pre-ordering as I did would have been pointless. When he finally came to the car, grandson stated that the order was filled as he waited. It took about 30 minutes to retrieve my prepaid order.
I know a lot of places are having issues with having enough help. I would like to point out that KK knew they were launching a special, so they don't seem to have been very well prepared considering the state of their parking lot this morning. Also, after I dropped off my grandson (and the doughnuts), I pulled into another doughnut place to get a breakfast sandwich and beverage. Their line was wrapped around the building, too. But it was quite swift, and I was out of there in less than 5 minutes. This experience tells me that the issues at the first place were...
Read moreDonuts were great and glad to have one nearby now, but for a brand new store they should be doing better. Two hours after opening for the day, the place should be clean and stocked. Dining room floor, bathroom, plexiglass looking into the kitchen, and entryway were all filthy. No excuse for that, especially with three employees leaning in the drive thru area and doing nothing the whole time I was there. No paper towels in the bathroom and the floor was filthy. Looked like nothing had been cleaned in weeks. These are not hard things to do, but so important, especially when you're the only franchise around and you're representing the brand to people who may have never been to one. Oh yeah, also we recently got a creme filled donut that had maybe a grape sized amount of creme in it. Seems to be a recurring problem, looking back at other reviews. UPDATE: Three months later, nothing has changed. Dining room floor is still sticky, napkin dispenser empty, trash can area directly across from the registers was dirty, to the point where there was even a donut sitting next to the empty napkin dispenser, that didn't make it to the trash can opening. This was 7am on a Sunday morning, when everything should be clean...
