Update: This location has been both the WORST McDonalds I've ever encountered (Oct 2022) and then fast forward 4 months (Feb 2023) and they served me the BEST tasting McChicken sandwich. Go figure!
First Review (worst visit - Oct 2022): Hands down the WORST McDonald’s location I’ve encountered, yet it’s in a nice part of town. Always out of half of the menu - key items like fries, nuggets, all coffee-based drinks, etc. And many times they only accept cash or only accept card and this last time they said they’re only accepting card or EXACT cash. Explain to me why they’d need Exact cash.. Their totals aren’t even dollars, but instead random amounts like 12.63, so clearly if many people were using cash to pay, they’d have accumulated enough coins to make change. Are employees stealing money?
I’d suggest corporate or the owner of this location to hire some mystery shoppers - because this location is terrible. Every other car, on any given day and time leaves the drive through line after making it to the ordering speaker. Also, whoever is putting their sandwiches together clearly hates their job as they are overloading the condiments where they are splattered all over the sandwich and wrapper (thus hands and bag) or the sauces are nonexistent. Just received a dry chicken sandwich because they didn’t include the mayo, and their $3.59 fries were half full, old tasting and lacked any salt. If they’re going to charge such high prices for (fast) food - they should be serving amazing tasting food. And if their employees are making 12-14/hr, they should enjoy their job more than a few years ago when employees were making $7-8/hr. Guess we’ve been proven that better pay doesn’t equal better or happier employees, but rather entitled, lazy and rude ones.
THIS LOCATION SUCKS. Much better service and food quality at the one on 747, and great service and food on Tylersville & Cin-Day Rd locations. Star Rating: 0 out of 5.
Second Review (Best Visit - Feb 2023): Was short on time and found myself back at this particular McDonalds. I parked and ordered food through the app (as the drive thru line was long) and went inside and the food was ready almost immediately. Manager was polite and handed me my food. Ordered 2 McChickens and was pleasantly surprised as they were made perfectly and were hands down the BEST McChickens I've ever received from any McDonalds. They were piping hot, had the perfect amount of lettuce and mayo and the breading had a nice crispy crunch to it. I was shocked at how good they tasted -- so maybe there's hope for this place, after all. Was there about 2:30pm - so your experience there may just depend on which manager is on duty. If food always tasted like it did on this particular visit, I'd become a spokesperson to promote this restaurant. Star rating: 10 out of...
Read moreThe last couple of months have been absolute HELL going to this location. However, on Sunday 7/3/2022, the morning crew that was working was AMAZING!!! I went through the drive thru. I was greeted promptly with a nice hello asking me to take a minute to look at the minute the person would be right back. Maybe 15 seconds later I was being asked for my order. I ordered. My order was repeated back to me and I was told to pull to the first window. They verified my order again, told me my total and ran my card, returning my card with a smile and a receipt. I stop both males and complemented them on their common courtesy and respect they clearly have for themselves and others! Window 2, greeted by another young male just as respectful as all previous employees. The last person I personally asked to speak to was a manager. I wanted to let their manager know what an amazing group of young adults they have working here. The manager in training came to the window, a young female. I am so sorry because I am horrible with names and I was in a hurry yesterday morning and my mind was already preoccupied. But I know she was young, but the way she was running her store they were responding! Nice job! Please keep up the hard work, All of you!!!! My father started in the mailroom of a federal bank at the age of 15 working as a civilian. He worked his way up and after 40 years he retired vp of that bank! Keep your nose clean you can be whatever you...
Read moreI gave this place one final try (morn of 11/25), & it cost me...literally & figuratively. Went inside & thought I'd try a steak, egg & cheese bagel (meal w/ice coffee). Bagel is supposed to come w/grilled onions...a key component. Guess what? I received bagel & there were NO ONIONS on it (they were OUT of onions, and instead of telling me this upfront, they hoped I wouldn't notice?). *Description includes 'juicy' steak patty & there was nothing 'juicy' or fresh about it either.
So I didn't want incomplete bagel (at FULL price) & decided to get sausage gravy biscuit meal instead. After they did THEIR 'math', I ended up paying over EIGHT DOLLARS for a sausage gravy biscuit meal...as opposed to the TEN DOLLARS for steak bagel meal?
After screwing me financially, (the female GM/Supervisor) snatched back the original bagel off my tray AFTER I had offered to return it to the cashier who said they were just going to throw it away, so I might as well keep it! So GM didn't have the common sense/presence of mind to offer ANY apology for my long wait & inconvenience. She DID choose though to add insult to injury by treating ME like a criminal, who apparently wanted a cold, onion-less 'freebie' bagel along w/the world's most expensive sausage gravy biscuit meal?!!! Seriously?!
Word of advice? If it comes down to you possibly starving or giving this place your business? Seriously consider the...
