So, Last night 6/8/21 downingtown was completely flooded. I had placed my order at 8:17 PM, so when I saw that it was nearing 9:00 and I had no driver I was worried that the driver wouldnât get to the store in time due to flooding. I first called amores asking if they were also experiencing flooding to which I got a extremely rude response as if the girl had no idea that it was raining outside. We hung up I waited a little longer for the door dash to give me a driver, so I had my boyfriend call hoping that maybe a male voice would maybe make a difference. But the girl on the phone told me that I needed to cancel my order and come in and pick it up. So I drove the ten mins there, get there and say my name, she told me it was cancelled and I said yea I would still like to pay please, she then got the food, I asked her if I could see the receipt because I was confused because door dash told me it was as if it was a pick up, and I wanted to make sure I paid. Well she got on the phone with her boss to talk about the situation Which was fine until she spent 10 mins on the phone and decided to make fun of me for calling and asking if they had seen any flooding on the street. I asked her why that was important and she again walked away to continue the conversation. When she came back, I again told her I would pay I just wanted to see the receipt to which I never got to see, she preceded to yell at me that I got free food when I wanted to pay the entire time, I just wanted to see the receipt because honestly didnât trust her because I work in customer service and her attitude was absolutely appalling. Moral of my review, is that I never got to view the receipt, her attitude was atrocious, as was the fact she never let me explain my entire situation before hoping on the phone a total of three times. From a 30 year old female whose spent the last 10 years in customer service, she needs training, I never wanted to NOT PAY, I just wanted to completely understand to which she also didnât understand and pushed it at me and snarkily snapped at me that âyou got free food: you got what you wantedâ and I asked her, her name after that comment and she wouldnât give it to me. I told her that her customer service skills were at a Zero. She looked surprised not sure why...
Anyways the FOOD absolutely delicious (thatâs the one star) - waiting from 8:17-10 to eat it, because your front end employee has absolutely no sense of the âcustomer is always rightâ let alone any drop of kindness, was absolutely insane. Iâll never come back due to her attitude. I wouldnât ever want to deal with that again. My significant other even Called this morning to pay because we donât ever need free food.
Buyer beware, the cashier is absolutely, disgustingly, rude. Put your thick skin on before...
Read moreWe have been ordering from Amore Pizza for @5 years. They have always been ok. Convenience, free delivery are the biggest reasons. I recently had a horrible experience with them and will not be using them ever again.
I ordered a taco pizza and one with all the toppings a that included extra cheese. I was disappointed when I did not receive a taco pizza or a pizza with extra cheese. I called to let them know about the mistakes and asked to speak to a manager. To my knowledge I spoke to one - she never identified herself. I told her about the mistakes and she sounded annoyed and told me they could remake them, but it would be an hour plus before they got to me. I said "seriously? You screwed them up and you are going to make me wait another hour?" She made it sound like the problem was mine and explained they were busy. I know they are - this is why I had already waited @1 hour the first time and now I am being told it will be a total of 2 hours to get the right pizza? She said I could get a refund, so I said I will take it.
The order did not get canceled and my cc was charged. I called the store and asked if I could talk to a manager. Unfortunately I knew by her voice I had the same lady on the phone who once again was not friendly or helpful. When I said Good Morning, is there a manager I can talk to she responds with "we are not open yet." Why are you answering the phone then?? Also, why not kindly say something like "they are not in yet, may I have someone call you?" It is not hard. Since I recognize the voice I tell this lady (who I still do not have a name for and I have no idea if she is a manager) that I talked to her the other night regarding my pizza order. I tell her my cc was charged. She immediately gets defensive which makes me mad and I decided at the moment I am done. I just hung up on her. I decided rather than get my money back, I will post a review and order from the 50 other pizza places around here so I do not have to deal with this lady again. Whomever the heck she is. Customer service is key to a good business. She is horrible at it. She is why I am not ordering from...
Read moreI just finished my lunch from Amore and I am incredibly impressed. Let's start with the ordering process: I ordered online through their website, which is a simplistic process that allows for customization through the use of an instructions tab along with a plethora of clickable options. It isn't the prettiest of ordering apps I have seen, but it does have color, so I'm happy. Now for the menu options: This restaurant has close to damn near everything. From milkshakes to burgers, paninies to breakfast, this place has an amazing menu. I personally ordered the Amore Crazy Fries sans fried onions, with curly fries and a small bacon, pepperoni pizza. For a grand total of $28 with $6.90 as tip, I was hesitant at first, but went for it. I am so glad I did. The amount of fries I received is the perfect match to the price and adding in the perfect amount of toppings, I am super pleased. The pizza was also really, really good. The crust is my version of perfect, with just the right amount of bread and doughiness but still strong enough to keep the toppings on top (keep in mind that I did get a small, I cannot speak to a medium or larger size pizza crust's ability). As for the toppings, they were plentiful and delicious. There was the perfect combination of pepperoni and bacon held together and down with lots of cheese - there was NO skimping here! Lastly, delivery: I am utterly impressed. I ordered at 1:08 and received my order by 1:51. Amore Pizza has a tracking app that rivals other brands by including a GPS in the driver's car, so you know exactly when they will show up. Furthermore, my driver was extremely courteous, which is always a good thing since I tip for than 20%. Overall, I am amazed at how well my order went today and glad that I decided to go here. Amore Pizza, you made an excellent first impression!
P.S. I said damn near close to everything only because I love Antipasto salad (with pepperoni, salami, ham, and black olives) and raspberry vinaigrette dressing with my pizza of which Amore Pizza does not have. However, this restaurant is definitely worth the five stars given for the sheer excellence of...
