Country Bagel Bakery — Restaurant in West Chester

Oh man this place is really good! Parking can be a bit of a nightmare but if you're on foot it's all the better. The bagel with lox and the works was exactly how I wanted it to be. Well above the industry standard in the area. The selection of baked goods also looked very appetizing. I would try a pistachio muffin next time I go. The bagel with lox does not state capers on the menu but they have them if you ask. :) Very friendly staff. There was one younger girl working there however that was prepping food without gloves and it took me a good five minutes of staring her down before the manager took notice and caught the respective mishap and remediated the situation by having her put on gloves. Yum! Highly recommend this place. We will be back a lot. Very good, smooth coffee. Big, crusty and doughy bagels piled well with tasty cream cheese. Nothing is skimpy here. Large selection of bagels galore. Donuts too. Service was quick. This place is a gem. 2nd visit here. The coffee and food items remain stellar. However the staff assisting varies from cheerful to drone-like. Bagels cost $1.50 which is very reasonable, but $3 for cream cheese on that bagel is not. 1st visit the bagels were prepared with lots of cream cheese (which should be, considering the cost of $3 for that). 2nd visit, cream cheese was skimpy on the bagels. It would be nice if there was consistently with the service (freindly) and what one gets on a bagel for the $3...

No pictures needed. I go all around NY to find the best bagels and to think that this is the best and closest in PA is quite surprising.

Look, rolling stars is good, but you guys have the chew and crisp down. My ask, don’t let down on the quality just because most are not critical of your products. In other words, keep up the good quality bagels because this is what we need to distinguish west Chester from other bagel shops in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.
