Rated 3 stars. Pros: great atmosphere/looks/bar area. Love that they serve local spirits. I had a GREAT spicy margarita. Very crisp and refreshing. Spicy due to the long hot infused tequila. Yum! My boyfriend also ordered an old fashioned and enjoyed it. Cons: was not greeted when we sat down at the bar. We actually sat down in front of the Oyster/shucking station and the manager was behind shucking oysters and did not inform us we needed to see the hostess in order to sit there. Problem was luckily solved bc we were able to just move down two bar stools. After we moved NO ONE greeted us. We arrived around 830-845p after a dinner rush on a Friday night and none of the THREE bartenders or the manager greeted us/stated “they would be right with us”. I agree with a couple other reviewers on here: the bartenders were more concerned with other tasks or socializing with other waiters. They did not greet or rarely checked in with bar guests sitting at the bar -keep in mind there are NOT that many seats. It’s a smaller bar area. The couple next to us must have moved from a table to the bar area and their original waitress checked in on them TWICE while we were sitting there but the bartender did not check on us. Just a warning on the “Lobster Mac & Cheese”. It’s actually Mac &Cheese with a lobster flavored cheese sauce. ***No lobster comes with this.*** I even discussed this with my sister and her fiancé. They had the exact same experience and hated everything about this place 😣. When our “lobster” Mac and cheese arrived we had no silverware or napkins and was just sitting there staring at it. The oyster shucker actually paid more attention to us and waved the bartender down for us to be able to eat. We ended up tipping the oyster shucker for this kind gesture 😳🙂 (the shucker was also KILLING it with the oysters!). Too many other places in West Chester to enjoy vs this place IMO.

Second time at Greystone and the food rocks! Some minor issues the second time around but nothing that would discourage me from going back. Started off with a dozen fresh, raw oysters, trying a few different varieties, served with vinegar, cocktail sauce, hot sauce and horse radish. All were fresh and 3 of the 4 were awesome. The one just wasn’t as good as the other three. For the mains, I went with the lobster bisque, truffle fries and the steamed mussels. The bisque is a must have! The mussels were fresh and pipping hot, served in a red sauce which was just spicy enough. The truffle fries were perfect. My wife had the Cioppino which was in a similar type of red sauce, and very tasty. For full disclosure regarding the minor issues, keeping in mind that it was a crowded and a Saturday night, we ate inside and the room is very loud. So if your looking for quiet this might not be right for you. Not Motörhead concert levels loud but it wasn’t the West Chester library either. The other thing was our fries were cold. Told the waiter and they were replaced immediately with a new perfectly hot basket, so really no issues. I can’t wait to go back again! One additional note, we skipped dessert here and went next to Kilwins’ Chocolate and Ice Cream Shop and took a few things home for later, which were pretty damn good.

My wife and I get very few nights to ourselves without children. Tonight we had a date night and since they are so few of these a year we always do menu research ahead of time. We arrived exactly at opening 4pm, after arriving we were seated right away and the only table. Our waitress came out a few minutes after we sat down and took our drink order. After that she came back about 5 minutes later with our drinks, so not bad at all. We ordered a dozen oysters on half shell and goat cheese as an app. Our oysters came out first and were presented pretty well but the ketchup i mean cocktail sauce had almost no horseradish in it, the vinger and onions tasted like vinegar water and 3 maybe 4 little floating onions. So we waited a few minutes to try and catch the waitress to ask for some hot sauce and horseradish, time went by without seeing her (only us and one other table at this point) so we ate another then waited and waited finally we just decided to just eat the oysters no big deal. Fried goat cheese comes out and we catch her as she drops it off to order our entrees. We order a lobster roll and fish n chips. She took our order and disappeared again which was fine cause the fried goat cheese was awesome even though it needs to be labeled as a salad not an app hahaha a bowl of arugula with dressing and 4 little fried goat cheese discs is a salad. Anyways time goes by and by and by, the kitchen brings our entrees out once we get our food she comes out to see if we need anything. We order a key lime cocktail and orange creamsicle. The lobster roll was great! Fries great! Fish n chips great. Our waitress brings the drinks out and drops them off and disappears again. The key lime cocktail is soo tart its more like lime aid with a whole bag of limes. Since then our waitress went MIA for awhile. We ate our food and it was pretty desent. After waiting and waiting she finally stops by again and we order a cheesecake. That comes out in decent time from the kitchen not her. Then time goes by and by and by finally someone comes out to ask how the food was and we talked for a minute about what we ordered etc. also asking for the check since our waitress went MIA. Then we waited and waited finally the check came out but we needed change. So we waited and waited at this point their are 4 tables including us and 2 waitresses the other waitress was handling 3 of the tables and doing an absolute great job unlike ours. Finally we grabbed the attention of the other waitress to have her get our change. All in all the food was good especially if we had the chance to make some changes, but after eating spending $156 for 2 people, and taking an hour and 37 minutes from start to finish, and not leaving with any leftovers or...

Came here for a celebration with friends. Had a reservation and we were sat promptly. We were greeted immediately. Our server was great. The drinks were great. Food came out pretty fast, however was mediocre. Salmon was dry, chicken was not hot, shrimp stir fry was bland and watery. We didn’t complain. We were content. This however is where our experience took a turn for the worst. Our server checked on us a few times after getting our food, but Upon finishing our meals and drinks we hadn’t seen her in about 15-20 mins. Our glasses were empty and our dirty dishes were in front of us this whole time. When she did finally come back and began clearing our plates we told her we would like to order another round of drinks. She told us to give her a minute. When she came back she told us that they have a 2 hour sitting policy and that we had to leave. If we wanted to go to the bar we could, but we’re no longer allowed at her table. WHAT? We had reservations at 6:15 and this was told to us at 8:10, almost exactly at 2 hours. Mind you there were two empty tables behind us and this was a TUesday night. No where was this policy explained before sitting. Not when we made the reservation, not on the menu, not when we sat, not a half hour warning. No I’m sorry, I will not go to the bar and give this restaurant more money that clearly lacks customer service. I was also disgusted that the management/owner has young servers working for tips delivering this message to their tables. This message should be coming from management to the tables and is NOT the servers responsibility. I will...
