Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in West Chester

Will not be coming back here again. Recently came here with my family the other night about 30 minutes before closing. The girl at the window name was ‘Kristina or Kristene’ and was horribly rude. Walking up to the window there was a group of teenage guys, who all got water ice, custard etc. before we stepped up to the window, very loudly someone yelled over the speaker above, no more custard not more sprinkles. So random? I asked if they were out and they said no we aren’t serving it right now only water ice. My daughter was devastated. Not sure why 30 minutes prior to closing, they take something off the menu. I’ve lived in this town my entire life.. always have come here and live a few blocks away and never had this. The worst part is the girls behind the counter seemed high school aged as well.. making it a joke of some sort to not sell custard? But served it to their friends ahead of us. Super strange and put a bad taste in my mouth. Love Rita’s… but maybe train your staff a little better please. Until then I will not be coming back to this location… so many other good desert shops in this town, this one isn’t...

I am incredibly disappointed in my purchase tonight. I specifically asked the worker if I could get a small gelati with custard ONLY on the top. The guy acknowledged me and said “okay custard only on top” and then proceeded to give me literally 85% custard. Considering I only got a small and I specifically requested less custard, the fact that I barely had any water ice in mine made me so mad. I don’t go to Rita’s for just the custard. I need my water ice too. He was also moving so slow and barely spoke up. He might’ve been high honestly. I usually have a good experience at this Rita’s, but tonight...

Came here with my parents for a Rita's Treat this evening 3/31/25. We had a 15% off entire bill order coupon. The 3 of us had smalls, 1 gelati, 2 custards. The bill was $16.38 15% off which was completely miscalculated. She initially took off 0. 21 cents which I said no that's not correct, and then she said I'll just take $1.00 off, which is still not correct.
