This place is gross. Few months back I tried to do a pickup. When I went to the place, they had reconfigured for the pandemic (no seating and pickup was far back from the food prep area), but, then no one was wearing masks. I couldn't pick up food with that setup so I didn't pay for my order and left. I called back the place to express my concern about the lack of masks and left it at that. Yesterday, I saw a review for a new sushi place and decided to give it a try. When I went to pick up was when I realized that it was the same place. This time they were masked up except for a middle school aged child that didn't seem involved in food prep, so I let that slide. When I called in to make my order they said it would be available in 15 minutes and it took me 17 minutes to drive there. I arrive and it took them 10 minutes to acknowledge me and my order. They then took another 10 minutes for them to give me a chance to pay. At this pint it was actually 37 minutes since I ordered. By this time they served up two Door Dash orders and two other orders that appear to have arrived before me and one that was clearly after me. Another 10 minutes passed (honestly, I lost track of time) and my wife came into the store to ask me what was going on. The folks behind the counter said just one more minute. 5 minutes later I received my order. That was a total of 52 minutes since I phone in my order. They gave us a free dish with the meal and that would have been great except for the extra long hair that was in it. The food was so-so, but, I almost threw up when I pulled that hair out of it. I'm done with this place obviously and between the delayed order, wishy washy adherence to covid-19 protocols and the disgusting hygiene I had to say something. ...
Read moreUpdate: apparently I received a response from the establishment calling me a “faked customer.” Umm, am not, actually. I am a real human being with feelings and a brain which allows me to use my critical thinking skills. Just a disgruntled REAL former diner who took time and effort into writing about my experience. The irony here is that your response and its tone validates everything I have stated. A class on interpersonal skills, professionalism and how to run a small business would be helpful but only if you’re willing to accept constructive criticism.
The original review: It is a NO for me. On all fronts. Food is bland and undercooked. Dirty plates and utensils. I’ve found the staff rude beyond belief. Very argumentative and combative and when I asked logical questions about my inflated bill I was met with a sudden lack of comprehension of the English language. They have children working the register who also seem oblivious to the fact that I stood in front of them waiting for help from an adult. No such thing happened as they were too busy shuffling food back and forth and I even got elbowed a couple of times when I waited to ask about my bill. I believe that might have been intentional too. How dare so ask a question about why I was...
Read moreTsunami is hands down one of the best go to spots in West Chester. Everything about Tsunami just goes above and beyond.
The food here is easily one of the best in West Chester. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The fish used in the sushi is super fresh and tender, everything is made to order on the spot. The chicken katsu is the best in the area by far. I've been hunting for an amazing mango sticky rice and tsunami helped me find it. On top of all of that the prices are super reasonable and affordable for the portion sizes.
The staff is super friendly and caring, walking in there feels like stopping by a friend's place for dinner. The owner is second to none, she's always quick to greet customers and make sure they are helped. You can tell she really cares.
The atmosphere is nice, it's casual and welcoming, and has very authentic decor.
Overall a 10/10 and I would rate it...
