I had a breakfast sandwich here, it costed me $15 with tax. For reference the sandwich used to be $10. I decided to grab a cold brew while I was here and that was $5. Walking up I couldn’t find the place at first because of the t shirts hanging in the window I thought it was a clothing store. After grabbing my sandwich and coffee and heading out because the place is small and quaint. I opened my sandwich and took a bite and the flavors were there but it was so mushy. The bread was a potato roll which I like but with the soft bacon, soufflé egg, cheese and soft hash brown, the sandwich is just too mushy. The egg is delicious and I like thick cut bacon but I just need more texture. The coffee was okay but for a medium cold brew in a 10 oz cup with mostly ice and no syrups or added flavors; that’s a disappointment. The service is just average, I wasn’t met with nice customer service it was just melancholy and not very helpful with suggestions or menu items. This place can do better, it’s a cafe but I’m not sure this place knows what it wants to be. Trendy, hipster,...
Read moreOne of the best breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had! The ratio of it all is perfection. Soft brioche bun, velvety egg, crisp hash brown, melty cheese and bacon. What more could you ask for? End off with a decadent chocolate chip miso cookie and oh my goodness, you’ll be coming back for more. We also tried their seasonal fig tart and it was super tasty, I really liked it as it was not super sweet compared to the cookie.
The coffee I will say is a little bit acidic for my taste. So I don’t usually order coffee here. I may try one of their other coffee/tea drinks. It gets busy here so if you want to try their signature Breakfast Sando, get here in the morning. We tried getting it around 1pm last time and they were sold out. Not a great spot for studying or work as it gets loud but great for catching up...
Read moreStopped by the Allez Cafe to try out their Breakfast Sando. The $10 sandwich took a little while to prepare, The Cafe's interior can nicely be described as dreary. Old and run-down looking, but not in a funky, quaint, or charming way. Just in a sad way that left me counting the moments until the sandwich would be ready so I could take it to go. Once it arrived, I thought the sandwich (pictured) was quite small. Tasty, but small. In short, I regrettably traveled a bit of a distance to get to the unfortunately run-down and poorly stocked Allez Cafe for a tasty but small sandwich. The service, unfortunately, was also not much to speak of either. As breakfast options go, I would not recommend the Allez Cafe. There are many other better breakfast...
