First and foremost, I wanna give a HUGE/BIG shoutout to I believe his name was Andy! I hope management sees this and shares this/shows Andy this review! Andy is an all out all around great, friendly, and very helpful person/staff member. My friend and I were talking with him yesterday about how much we love this place and how awesome it is to see that there's still a place like this around, old school, and feels like walking in a time machine! We were saying how this was our 2nd time being here and just love the selection of arcade games they have and how great the atmosphere and everything is. And we were saying/asking/wondering if they have any events here with the selection of games they have. Andy informed us that they do/have events here regularly/on a daily basis. He was saying/informing us that they have a mortal combat tournament on Mondays. They have a pinball tournament like every day lol and something on Wednesday I completely forgot. We were saying how we have nothing but good things to say about this place and everything. Until I brought something up that happened when we literally got there yesterday at like 9 o clock. I told Andy that right after he checked our IDs to get in me and my friend had to use the bathroom, and apparently, someone who "apparently" said that they work there came barging in the bathroom right after I walked in and said that he saw me coming out of the women's bathroom and said/threatened me saying that if he saw me using it/coming out of the women's bathroom again he said/threatened to kick me out and I informed/told him that I didn't and was talking to my friend next to me and told her that I had to go to. Andy actually listened/took the time to listen to everything I had to say about the incident and took it very/really seriously. And asked if I knew what the man looked like. And I did and pointed him out, and Andy approached the man and confronted the man, and he got kicked out. Then came back to me and my friend and just wanted to say sorry for the inconvenience and everything and offered me and my friend a shot on the house for the inconvenience. Pretty much was surprised and very relieved from all that. And just told him that I've never had a bad experience or one to complain about things or leave a bad review or anything but told him that he very much satisfied a customer that night and me and my friend will definitely be there/coming back there again! Thanks again, Andy! You're the man! Thank you, logan...

My one criteria for a barcade is that they have a Tapper machine. After walking in and showing our ID and proof of vaccination, we immediately did a lap to see what was on offer. We saw pinball machines lining the wall all the way to the back as well as many classic machines. I had not caught sight of Tapper and was dismayed. As I was checking out a game, I heard someone behind me say, “Where is that beer game?” I responded enthusiastically with, “Do you mean Tapper?” He confirmed and we began searching but again came up short. Resigned to the machine being missing, I instead focused on enjoying what they did have.
Our group played a round of Pac-Man Battle Royale and that was a blast. I then played a round of Crazy Taxi while my wife enjoyed Mario Kart next to me. We found a Japanese cabinet with the wildest games you’ve ever played. Lindsey played one where she had to pluck out chin hairs to a rhythm. I had to hit baseballs while the camera changed perspective frequently. That was a blast and I would love to try more another time. While hanging out our Chicago guides alerted us that local legend, Tamale Guy, was making rounds through the bar.
As I was looking for another pinball machine to play, I noticed the man I searched for Tapper with playing a game and lo and behold it was Tapper! I walked up and exclaimed that he found it. He finished his round and then it was my turn on the sticks. It felt good to be home and the game interestingly ran a little fast. After adjusting to the environment, I settled in and tapped the top of the high scores and placed “KEG” in the number one spot. This tapped off an amazing night with the...
Read moreWas walking through Logan Square for the first time in 5 years on a Thursday evening early May when we walked past this place full of sound and energy bursting through the glass windows. We had to check it out. It was very lively full of fun game options and craft beers. We had big back packs as we just flew in to Chicago, and the ID guy at the front was nice enough to store our bags safely away. The games were really cheap!! Skee Ball was only 2 quarters per play, and the basketball games were also only 2 quarters! There was plenty of functioning air hockey and pinball machines as well on top of the several Pool tables that were only $1.50 per game.
The coolest part about this arcade was the big screen projector playing Mario Kart 8, with people handing off controllers to the next people wanting to challenge the winners. We watched a few matches before deciding to hop in ourselves, and it was a blast! What's more, one of the bartenders (I think?) approached the group of us watching and playing between rounds and offered us free large samples of different craft beers from local breweries. They were pretty good, but it was just this infectious good energy of being able to chill and hangout in a lowkey spot where everyone was friendly and easy to talk to, and the bar tenders were nice and quite generous. Drink prices were fair and they did do samples for the many craft beers they had on the menu. All in all, one of the most fun arcades I've ever been to, and one of the reasons Logan Square is one of the most fun...
