We wanted to go out to celebrate my brother and he saw that this place seemingly has the best smash burgers. Unfortunately we were unable to reserve and we heard it gets busy so we came at 4 on a Saturday, and although they didn’t have indoor seating the outdoor seating was available and heated. The staff was super friendly and the menus were online which made it a little confusing but super easy to pay. For drinks, we had to fill up our own water which was in a big jug by the entrance, and the other drinks we ordered were brought to us. We were recommended the ricotta for an appetizer and it was delicious- sweet yet salty and the homemade sourdough was nice and fresh. We also got the mac and cheese bites and they were really good as well as the ranch. The food came out super quick which was nice. For our main meal, we shared fries and all the sauces were delicious. The smash burger was so good- it was my first ever smash burger and I really liked it. It had a great amount of crisp and sauce and it all blended together so well. I would definitely recommend this place but it does get busy so make sure you plan accordingly!!

Great location and service; however the food is overcooked and salty. The smash burger was crispy, burnt and salty. The chicken sandwich was extra dry, hard and cooked too long. They can learn a few things from Popeyes chicken sandwich. I saw some old friends outside on my way in and one of the opinions they had was too much salt. The party eating next to me said the same, so it's a thing. The cooks need to ease up on the sodium. While paying the tab, our server asked how everything was. I was honest and said the burger was too salty. She said; "The next time you come you should tell them easy on the salt." I'll pass that along to you. It's my advice to anyone who decides to go there. I liked the FU Larry's hot sauce (which appears to be made down the street. Nice touch! The fries were okay. Seems like a great place to hang out, but you probably need to specify how to cook your food and not just leave it up to them. Definitely no salt and don't overcook the proteins. The beers were maybe a buck or two more than they should be. Live and learn. The place was cool, but the food is a one and done.

Did you see the survey that listed somebody's choices for the 10 best burgers in Chicago? Did you see that the Leavitt Street Inn & Tavern was ranked No. 1? I just had to see if it is as good as advertised. In fact, since I've never tasted any of them, sooner or later, my goal is to sample every one of them. Located at 2345 North Leavitt Street. at Fullerton, in the Bucktown community, Leavitt Street Inn is a friendly neighborhood watering hole with TV behind the bar and upscale crash pad offering beer and pub food in a corner locale with a patio and three overnight rooms with king-sized beds and private bathrooms with showers. It has a reputation for producing the best smashburger in Chicago and lures hungry customers with a rotating buffet featuring over 10 dishes. Open from 3 to 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday and noon to 2 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Leavitt Street Inn & Tavern is a home away from home. Chicken tenders and a fried chicken sandwich are popular items but the smashburger is the biggest draw of all. It is made with 1/3 pound of ground Angus Chuck topped with American cheese, house-made sauce, house-made pickles and caramelized onions on a sesame seed bun. With a frosty cold mug of root beer and an order of fries, while watching the Cubs win on TV, it makes for a very enjoyable...

I recently visited The Leavitt Street Inn and Tavern with friends hoping that I would enjoy a great meal. Expectations were high after seeing the 4.9 āļø with 800+ reviews.

Unfortunately it turned out to be a monumental disappointment. Our order included smashburgers and chicken sandwiches, which unfortunately did not meet our expectations.

The smashburgers were overwhelmingly salty, rendering them completely inedible for everyone in our group.

As for the chicken sandwich, it was, without exaggeration, the worst I've ever encountered. It seemed as if the chicken used was days old, dry to the point of disbelief, making the meal feel like an insult.

The experience took a turn for the worse hours later. Early in the morning around 3am I woke up from my sleep and I found myself severely nauseous, leading to repeated instances of vomiting. This ordeal was not only painful but eye-opening, prompting me to share this experience as a cautionary tale.

It's crucial for potential customers to be aware of the risk, possibly even of food poisoning, associated with dining here.

This was undeniably the worst meal I've had, surpassing all previous bad dining experiences by a significant margin. I felt compelled to write this review to prevent others from suffering a...

I went here to eat this past Saturday with my family for my daughterā€˜s birthday. We were waiting to get into the so-called best pizza in Chicago place up the street, but they wouldn’t let us in because of the size of our party so two from our party left because it was getting late and I took my wife son and daughter over to Levitt, I recently heard about their burgers and their menu and I’ve always wanted to pop in, but it was a Saturday night and wasn’t really expecting much but it was the opposite. My son ran to the door to make sure they had seating and he was greeted and told yes we gotcha , the gentleman at the door was very inviting and just let us know that we had plenty of time to order but the kitchen closes in 20 just in case we wanted more lol…we shared burgers, chicken sandwich mac & cheese bites, fries w/dips. . Everything was amazing. The best part about it was the service matched the food. I wish I got everyone’s name but the girl with the hot sauce…mango to be exact, was awesome. She took her time to explain everything with the menu as well as pushing the gentlemen’s hot sauce they were sellin it for… overall really awesome experience and can’t...
