Walked in, 2 employees (girl with purple hair in front and guy w/short black hair wearing a mask), didn't receive a greeting from either of them. We were looking at the menu screen when it suddenly goes out and we had to go up to the counter and look for a menu. Still no greeting as we were standing in front of her deciding what to get. We place our order and she tells us it's going to be 45 minutes for the 2 crepes we ordered. It does not take 45 minutes to cook a couple of crepes and assemble a few ingredients. She said they had a lot of orders. We didn't have another option since we had walked there and there's not much of anything else nearby. As we were waiting for our food, only one order of 2 crepes were called out before our order came up. That is NOT a lot of orders 😒 I also watched the guy that was making drinks, stick his finger in his ear and scratch it a couple of times which is gross in and of itself, but when you're in a food establishment, it's much worse. The crepes came out cold, with barely any ingredients. They definitely don't resemble anything close to advertised. The first half of it was dry and flavorless, second half had a little more flavor which might be because of the way it's presented and the sauce sinks to the bottom. Was excited to try this place, but not worth it. Not worth the price for the amount of food you get, not worth it for the wait, and definitely not worth it for...

I recently visited this place, and it completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with genuine warmth by the staff. If they have customers or busy they will let me know to wait for a bit. Their customer service is truly top-notch—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about making each guest feel welcome. The space itself is absolutely beautiful. It’s bright, airy, and thoughtfully decorated with cozy seating areas, lush plants, and a relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for anything from brunch with friends to solo work sessions. Every corner feels like it was designed to make you want to stay longer. What really stood out, though, were the crepes and signature drinks. I love coffee in the morning with the good FOOD. I got Banana & Nutella Crepe and it was perfectly made—light, flavorful, and generously filled with nutella and cream. The Strawberry Matcha latte was my personal favorite. It is filled with strawberry puree and strawberry foam on top, rather than other places where you taste only milk. If you’re looking for a café that combines delicious food, memorable drinks, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, Bru café is it. I’ll definitely be back—and bringing...

I had the pleasure of visiting Bru Chicago recently, and it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the staff, who were not only friendly but genuinely attentive throughout my visit. They struck the perfect balance between being helpful and giving space, making the service feel personal without being overwhelming. Special thanks to Alina, who makes all of my drinks as perfect as it can be.
The ambiance of the café is absolutely stunning—thoughtfully designed with cozy seating, lots of natural light, and tasteful decor that makes it an ideal spot for both catching up with friends or settling in with a book or laptop. There’s a calm, welcoming energy that instantly puts you at ease.
My favorite crepe is Lox and I get full enough for breakfast or lunch or anytime, because it is my FAV! It is filled with cheese, spinach, lots of Salmon and secret species that makes it sooo good.
Overall, this is the kind of place you want to return to again and again—not just for the quality of what they serve, but for the warmth of the people and the beauty of the space....
