On Saturday, 10/14/23, I ordered from Blaze Pizza @ 24 South Clinton in Chicago online via a text promotional link for the featured item 11 inch Garlic/Sausage Pizza for $8.99. First of all, Blaze didn't disclose that there was a $10.00 minimum, so I ordered a Chocolate Chip Cookie to bring my subtotal over $12. Secondly. Blaze didn't disclose to me that Uber would deliver the pizza The driver texted me in Arabic & I had no idea what he was texting. Somehow he lost his way in Chicago & his country because he thought he could communicate with me in Arabic. My cold pizza was left with my building guard. The pizza had scant pieces of Sausage with minimal cheese. In the end what started out as $8.99 became a $22 mess! I immediately called the store, & the person assured me that my refund would be issued. I received an e-mail from Morgan with Blaze & she offered a free pizza. I stated clearly that I want a refund. It's been 2 days; I guess it's hard to figure this out. In my initial contact I said I don't want to do business with Blaze Pizza. It's a RED FLAG when businesses hesitate to do the "right thing", thus I stay as far away as possible! How does Blaze Pizza explain the exorbitant charges? These restaurants & food delivery businesses are not transparent & will rob the customer in every direction...

From the get go, it was obvious that the crew here was under prepared for handling an influx of online orders and walk-ins at once.
From the self admitted new girl, to what I'm assuming was the employee in charge who was yelling at her co workers to figure it out, this place was a mess
In addition, I watched them make my order, and then forget about as they debated about who does what. I saw my burned pizza be thrown away, with no update on if I'd get a new one. The employee in charge was also accosting the new girl to figure it out and not ask obvious questions
Even better, an employee also decided to just quit right then and there, leaving them even more short handed.
At this point, I couldn't get any employees'attention, as the person in charge was occupied on her phone trying to get help and talking so everyone could hear , but failing to come back to the front.
I had to leave to catch a train, why wait around for another round of sub par service and poor attitude.
I understand that covid has changed how things work, and still left business with challenges, but this...
Read morethis pizza place is located on the ground level of the apartment complex where I live so I was really hoping that I would love this place. Having a great pizza restaurant steps away from a pick up order when you’re a busy professional is a dream. I will update this review as time goes on, but for now all I can say is that my experience has only been average. With this mini, exceptional pizzerias in the city of Chicago, this one slightly disappoints. It starts with the website which leaves a lot to be desired. It does not allow for very much customization and states that there are multiple options for your preferred pizza crust. However, when you order, there’s only an option to have your pizza well done. When I’ve picked up my personal pizzas in the past, I’ve always had to reheat them, even though I live in the building away from the restaurant. Additionally, their full Caesar salad is the size of a side salad and at $10 is ridiculously overpriced. fortunately, there are nearby pizzerias when I have a taste for really good pizza. I won’t give up on this one yet, but it is definitely my...
