Wake N Bakery Wicker Park — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I’ve been to this location a few times. I’m not too familiar with products like these, but I do have interest. Each time I went, every staff member was amazing and friendly, and I like the early hours and location. However, I was not impressed by the product. The first time I visited, I was asking about tinctures and how to use them and the difference between what they sold. They had two different kinds, and they recommended full spectrum to me, telling me it was the strongest that I would get a dispensary so I purchased it. Upon leaving, took the recommended dosage and waited. I know how it can hit you out of nowhere, but after two hours, I took double the amount I had already taken, and a half hour later an additional triple serving, for a total of 6 suggested servings, within 2.5 hours. Feeling nothing, I called And explained, and they were happy to have me come in for my money back or a replacement. I know that this is a reputable business, as I’ve heard good things, and i know they are expanding, and I trust the business. When I returned, they ended up replacing the tincture for the other kind they had, and I bought additional gummies. Again, at the store, very cool, nice, understanding, and had no problem doing the swap out for me. The gummies were good, and the tincture I got this time was better, but not amazing. I went in again a few days ago, and again I purchased the tincture full spectrum. I was told the last time I purchased it, the full spectrum was a new thing they were trying out and, which I’m assuming why they were so easy about swapping out the product. I decided to try it again now that it’s been a couple months and I would expect the kinks to be out, but no. Again after taking several recommended doses, the recommended way (absorbs under your tongue) I ended up drinking to full 1000mg bottle and feeling nothing. I didn’t think it was worth going in again to quested a refund or new product. It’s unfortunate that they open so early, and everyone on their staff is super friendly. Worst location, worst workers today and worst additide. Never had an issue here. Come here very regularly. Some new “manager” was here today I never seen before. Tried up charging me for everythingggg! Asking me what type of milk I wasn’t dairy macadamian or almond , I say almond. She tried upcharging me . I said that’s weird they never do any other time but ok I’ll take macadamian then. She upcharges me for that as well. So I was forced to drink cow milk which I don’t even drink. The entire additude wof the employees was like they both hate there job and didn’t even want to serve me. I come here as a regular, all the time. Never had an issue. Although I came today and there was different shift leaders from “another location” & they were very rude. Usually the workers give my son a hot chocolate, every single time. For some reason today they were extremely rude, inconsiderate. Had such an additide I almost walked out . I’ve never had a bad experience with additude here from any employees but I’d never come here again if these “new workers “ are here. When I tell you that after I had their infused lemonade I was on another PLANET! I cannot sing high enough praises for this place, it’s fantastic.

First of all, let’s talk decor. It’s really colorful and has some really cool art in and around it. There’s games on a bunch of the tables so you can pass the time w your friends or fam or whomever.

Staff was friendly, they explained how it all worked and they were nice enough.

The price was a bit more than I was expecting, but that’s because I didn’t know what to expect. I got a medium lemonade for 10 bucks, but to infuse it was another 8. I’m not necessarily complaining about the price bc it was well worth it, but still important to note.

Truthfully if none of that matters to you, read this part: The taste and flavor was phenomenal. I had half a 25 mg lemonade over the course of about 2 hours and I was set for the rest of the night lmao it wasn’t an uncomfortable high, but wow I was not expecting that.
