This snack shop initially had the worst service ever, the rudest of a couple of woman working for him. Both of these women would slam / throw the items at you if something had bothered them. I witnessed on several occasions them engaging in heated arguments with customers. And the reviews from back then reflected exactly the type of disrespectful behavior his employees had towards customers. The business improved thanks to my friend Kenia ( no longer an employee at this point) once began working for him, not only actually would prepared snack adequately, trained new employees to do the same, also treated people with respect. It’s when I returned to La Michoacana as a customer. Apparently, even though the old bad employees are gone, the unprofessionalism stayed behind, the owner. 07/12/25 Janet prepared my fresh juice, she was handing me it. The owner was joking around with me ( laughing ). I walked out without paying and immediately returned to pay for it. The owner was facing the wall next to a new employee expressing himself in an ill, poor manner ( bad language) referring to my person. Janet warned him that I was listening to his poisonous words and speech. He turned towards me to let me know that I used to have a bitchy attitude, to him saying it to my face made it better or justifiable. No wonder he had those kind of employees, mistreating customers. Joel/ owner’s behavior is called HARASSMENT !! On a separate occasion he mentioned to me that recently a few customers posted a review claiming that there was racist treatment towards some customers. Well , I can assure you; HARASSMENT is included on the menu!! Needless to say ; I won’t be coming back. Let’s hope he invests in educating himself, it might be useful to him, in becoming a professional...

I found this place and was excited to try it seeing as I am 8 months pregnant and was craving funnel cake during this pandemic (everything is closed or close early). Well we get there and there is an extremely long line in the drive through so we decide to go in. We walked in and about a group of 4-5 people walked in behind us. The guy kept telling us only 6 people at a time and tried to assist the people behind us. Even after explaining we were obviously there first he proceeded to take the order of the people behind us until someone else stepped in to once AGAIN explain we were there first. He finally rushed our order and burned both funnel cakes I ordered. I have never had funnel cake so hard even the ice cream on top wasn’t softening it. There was barely any powdered sugar on it, it was just horrible. The service was not friendly with this guy and after this I will never be back. Both funnel cakes are currently in the garbage, I did enjoy my daughters ice cream that she didn’t finish that was the...

I have been waiting nearly 5 months for it to be warm enough to get some Paletas and it has been so worth the wait. They have every flavor imaginable. They have some fruit flavors that I didn't even know were fruits! There are two types, water based and creme based and they're so beyond tasty. Overall all the water based ones are suitable for vegans so it's a huge plus to just be able to walk in and get something. And for only 2$ each I can get them without my wallet feeling guiltily. The only thing is that this place is cash only so make sure you bring some. They may take card if you buy more stuff but I've only get the 1 paleta. I haven't tried any of the other awesome menu items but it's only a matter of time before I do (and love those as well). They have some indoor seats as well as a drive thru if you want to grab and go. This place is close to both the 60 and 18 bus and not a far walk from the pink line stop either. I would recommend stopping by, especially on those hot humid...

Cash is king here that there is a 1% overage compared to Other Clover Users (2-3% at North side). Service Charge Notice makes it sound like by paying Cash, you are saving money. Why not just say, "Cash is Preferred"? ICE CREAM FLAVORS are true to its cultural traditions/heritage with a bit of western. Very interesting. Amazing scooping of GANZITO (Mexican Twinkie) as I got ALL ingredients in one scoop including the cake. 😮 SMALL MANGONEADA is enough for one. It's a seriously strong mango sorbet-ish that is thick with a drizzle of chamoy is every spoonful. How's that for strategic packaging/plating? Impressive. SEATING area is cute that can easily fill from big groups with low turnover. CAUTION: small Area from 18th St to La Michoacan is mini-Tijuana.

My partner and I stopped by La Michoacana in Pilsen over the weekend, and we were so impressed! I had the strawberries and cream agua fresca, and it was absolutely delicious and refreshing—it instantly took me back to my time in Monterrey, Mexico. My partner had a mango and coconut ice cream cone, and both flavors were perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just pure, fresh goodness. You can really tell they make everything with love! On top of the amazing treats, the customer service was fantastic—friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!
