I am editing my old review to reflect a second tasting of the same dishes: fish and steak tacos. Wow wow wow. Okay. So, here’s the deal. My first go wasn’t everything I imagined, and the GM immediately worked to rectify our order - and when I say immediately, I’m talking same day contact. Can I just say I’m beyond impressed? I’m impressed with not only with the customer service aspect of this restaurant, but also with the quality of the food. It’s delish. (Insert drooling emoji here). My shrimps were plump and perfectly seasoned to my liking. The fries were just as great as I remembered from the last order. My boyfriend had the steak and he agrees - spectacular! Bravo New Line Tavern. Thank you for everything you’ve done to make our dinner really freakin’ good.

Came here on Labor Day weekend for a salad and a drink, and unfortunately the southwest salad with crispy chicken was very poorly made - I assume due to the pandemic causing fresh produce to go bad quicker? Though I would hope there would be quality checks. It felt thrown together with whatever was left available. The tomatoes were bad, avocado was too ripe, there was not enough lettuce, dressing mixed in without asking, overall pretty sparse. Crispy chicken tasted reheated or frozen/over-cooked. I really wanted to say something but felt really bad bc I saw that they now add a COVID operational surcharge. Though because of that, it deserves pointing out.

I will say the employees are great, very friendly people which is why I give them 3 stars. I was however very disappointed to see about 12 cops hang out here during their afternoon shift, and that was something that really rubbed me the wrong way during the civil unrest as the optics were a bit threatening. Just felt that also warranted...

I am rating it a 1 for service and atmosphere only because there was not a lower option. I patronized this established after work and was treated poorly by a female Bartender (name on receipt said last name was Ruiz). I asked for my drink a certain way and it was the complete opposite of what I requested. I kindly asked/reminded her that this was not what I requested and she continued to over talk me about whether I wanted to leave the tab open or closed. I proceeded to speak with the manager who then fixed somewhat of a better drink. When I paid the bill, of course I did not tip her and she then began to rudely banter me about not giving her a tip (which she did not earn/deserve) which I thought was extremely rude. I work across the street & frequented the place for lunch. This was my first time going after work and because of yesterday’s experience I will NEVER return...

Avoid this place for food! They are clearly not using proper kitchen sanitation techniques.

I ate about 2 full tacos and thought the beer was messing with my appetite ... a few hours later I didn't feel well and (again) blamed it on the beers. Around midnight or so I felt extremely restless, chills, then hot, upset stomach. I eventually became violently ill and vomited.

Disclaimer: the following may be gross to some people. While vomiting I pulled a small piece of raw, marinated steak from the bowl. I'm not a doctor but I know I shouldn't still have undigested food in my stomach 12 hours later. I know it was raw marinated steak because I smashed it in my fingers and smelled it.

Anyway - Here we are a week later, I'm down 10lbs .. have zero appetite, extremely anxious feeling, Chills, still feel like whatever is inside is still working...
