Pierre's Bakery Chicago — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I’ve NEVER thought I will say anything negative about this place!!! Unbelievable!!! I placed an order for a cake to get picked up Saturday yes they made it, the man I spoke to was very friendly... I called before going and asked if they take the EBT since they didn’t the lady I spoke to on the phone agreed with me that I wasn’t getting the cake! It’s Monday I get a text saying shame on you for that getting the cake, I replied letting them know what time I called and phone number I used when I called and I spoke to a lady, the man called me left me a voicemail calling me a liar and not to make his manger look bad, I thought the voicemail was very unprofessional so I called him back explaining, remind you I gotten a text later on Saturday to pick it up so I called back spoke to a lady again and told her I wasn’t going.. I don’t understand how or why theses people are upset that I didn’t want to pick up a cake because I couldn’t afford it in there opinion, also the man who called me a liar had me on speaker phone and she got on the call saying that I did call her about EBT but never told her I wasnt going to get the cake, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!! So unprofessional!!...

I just had the WORST experience with this bakery . I have been purchasing cakes from Pierre’s for 10 + years. I have family and friends that have also purchased cakes from Pierre’s as well. I have never been treated or shown the upmost disrespect by an owner of a business! I ordered a specific cake 2 weeks ago. Asked if my specifications were possible, they explained yes they were. Called the day before spoke to another person she also said the cake would be ready to go! I was ordering a cake for a birthday dinner FOR TONIGHT! I called to make sure the cake was ready . When I called the cake was NOT as specified! THEN THE OWNER of the business refused to except responsibility for THIER MISTAKE! Cancled the order now we are left to get a cake last minute! You make a mistake, you own up to it and you try to repair it! You call your customer and let them know what their options are! You just dont give a customer what you want them to have because you as a business owner are too lazy to do the work requested !!! Marty the business owner is the person that behaved this way! WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! I will make no more purchases from this establishment and pass...

My partner first came to this bakery in June for a red velvet cake for our anniversary. He came back a couple of weeks later to pick up a tres leches cake for my birthday. Both cakes were excellent! Just a week ago, we decided to go back and order my brother’s birthday cake which is the strawberry shortcake. Marty was very helpful to guide us through customizing our cake and ensuring we get exactly what we want. Since my partner’s surprise milestone birthday was the same week, I decided to come back on my own to order the cheesecake. As you can see in the photos I provided, the cakes are beautiful but most importantly all 4 cakes we’ve had with them are decadent but light, not to mention the rose that comes with it as a nice personal touch . I appreciated how much they were accommodating to us and allowed us to do a tasting to ensure we are happy with our selection. I highly recommend Pierre’s and I love supporting our neighborhood bakery. With all the cakes we’ve tried there so far, it’s worth every penny. I can’t wait to try the other...
