This Small Cheval location has undoubtedly earned its place as a top-tier burger joint in my book! I recently indulged in a culinary adventure at Small Cheval and was blown away by the exquisite flavors and quality of their offerings.
The Wagyu Truffle Cheeseburger Special was a true masterpiece. The combination of the rich Wagyu beef, decadent truffle, and gooey cheese created a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds with every bite. The patty was perfectly cooked to a juicy medium, and the truffle aroma elevated the entire experience to a level of gourmet delight. This is a top notch burger. A true masterpiece.
Accompanying the special was a side of Golden Fries, and they were nothing short of perfection. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, these fries were a delightful complement to the star of the show— the Wagyu Truffle Cheeseburger!
As if that wasn't enough, my girlfriend also had the Single Cheeseburger, and it was a testament to the consistency and quality that Small Cheval maintains across their menu. The single patty was thick and juicy, topped with the right amount of cheese, lettuce, and tomato—all sandwiched between a soft, fresh bun.
In conclusion, Small Cheval's Wagyu Truffle Cheeseburger Special, Golden Fries, and Single Cheeseburger left an indelible mark on my taste buds. If you're a burger enthusiast looking for an exceptional burger, Small Cheval is the...
Read moreExcellent restaurant. I was thoroughly impressed immediate from stepping into the restaurant until leaving. The decor, atmosphere, friendly staff, and absolutely excellent food gives this an easy 5/5 for me. The menu is “small” and resembles just 3 items from the original Au Cheval location. You can get a burger, a cheeseburger, and/or fries. That’s it. They also have a variety of beverages. I got a housestyle cheeseburger (comes with dijonnaise, onions, and pickles) as well as their fries). Their burgers are thinner, but double patties. They have an excellent selection of condiments for your fries such as Heinz ketchup, Sir Kensington’s ketchup, garlic aioli (10/10 yummmm must get!), Sir Kensington’s mustard, and Hidden Valley Ranch. They also supple Crystal hot sauce. When our buzzers sounded, signaling our meal was ready, I couldn’t wait. The fries were excellent. Some of the crispiest fries ever. While they may not be the best I’ve ever had, paired with the garlic aioli and crystal mixture I concocted, this made them stand out above anything I’ve had before. The burger was unreal. Sure, it’s your standard burger, but every bite from the soft bun to the crisp pickles, to the juice, medium burger was mesmerizing. It costs just under $15 for the cheeseburger and fries, and I’d pay that again in a heartbeat to get that again....
Read moreThis place has great fries at $4.99 bc they are just crispy enough on the outside and inside it's great too bc it was hot and soft. The thickness is just right. They give you heinz ketchup plus special mayo on the side. They have hamburgers and drinks and the menu is simple. I love it bc you can just pick from a few good items and not think too deeply about what to eat. And it's a cute size and enough seats...and ppl take out a lot too. The ambience is excellent bc it's right on the river. And you can walk downstairs from the restaurant and you will pass through a beautiful lobby (see pics). This is not a big enough place to accommodate a party of 20. But for intimate gatherings of 2-6 it’s doable. And a lone hungry person will enjoy a view w good fries and a burger. Plus they give you free cold water and plastic cups. You could also bring your own bottle or cup to be kind to the earth. It is such a beautiful place. So if you don’t like the food, you can enjoy the view and the area and walking around and taking beautiful pictures and selfies. But I will say that the hamburgers and french fries are very good so I have no complaints. It is a small in and out location, but there is also seating and free...
