Starbucks — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Starbucks my old nemesis... It's been awhile!

Met up with a friend here and I see why I never bothered to stop by this place. Inside is the same inconvenient small hipster atmosphere we've come to know and hate in Logan Square. Why it's thing to open a store barely large enough to fit 8 people comfortably I have no clue. Furniture seems to be proportional to size as well as every piece of furniture seemed to fit only the wafer thin, slender body of a skinny jean clad hipster which makes a linebacker sized guy like me feel silly and clearly uncomfortable sitting here. The furniture all seemed pretty cheap which is surprising since in the Logan Square area cheap usually means "hand-made from recycled materials", but these were clearly cheap mass produced pieces.

A lot of people seemed to already know the deal. They quickly walk in, get their order and take it home instead of trying to find a place to sit. Because they do this, the place seems to be not busy (although from what I see they aren't that busy compared to most Starbucks), but people streamed in and out at a decent pace. There's only street parking, but since this place isn't that busy and people ride bikes or walk a lot around here there's plenty of parks. There's a decent sized outdoor area as well, but again everything is small and cheap. One table umbrella was itching to be knocked down by the wind the entire hour I was outside, prompting the people sitting under it to move away quickly.

Prices are still set to "wallet gouging" as usual with Starbucks. Chai Tea I had was pretty sweet, but mostly just sugar water since they didn't let it brew long enough. This place is not that far away from some great Mexican places and if you're a little more adventurous, Phat Rice. Skip the coffee and enjoy a great meal...

Amazing service by Kenny at the Starbucks – 2543 N California Ave, Chicago, IL 60647! 🌟☕

I came in around 7:15 pm and was honestly impressed 🙌. The store was clean, organized, and fully stocked—which is rare for that time of the evening. Even the restrooms were spotless 🚻✨, showing how much pride the team takes in their work.

I ordered the Potato Chive Bake 🥔🌿, and Kenny went above and beyond by letting me know that the Truff Hot Sauces are back 🔥. I was so excited to try them both:

🌱 Green (Jalapeño Lime) → mild heat, zesty and refreshing

⚫ Black (Original) → medium heat, rich and savory

Both are delicious and make the perfect add-on to breakfast sandwiches, bakes, or wraps 🥐🥯. Honestly, this little detail made my visit feel extra special.

The atmosphere was another highlight:

This location feels welcoming whether you want to grab a quick coffee, relax on the patio, or get some work done inside 💻.

Kenny’s friendliness, attention to detail, and customer care really stood out 💚. Experiences like this remind me why Starbucks is more than just coffee—it’s community. 🌎🤝

I had such a wonderful experience at this Starbucks, thanks to Mari—an absolute gem of a barista. From the moment I walked in, I noticed her warm and friendly energy. She greeted customers with genuine kindness and seemed to know so many regulars by name and order, which was impressive and heartwarming to witness.

Mari paid close attention to my family’s order, especially our dietary restrictions. She made sure everything was labeled correctly and double-checked for dairy accommodations, which made us feel so cared for. Her attention to detail, patience, and sweet demeanor made a big impact on our morning.

The entire Saturday morning crew deserves a shoutout too—they were hustling during the rush but still managed to keep things efficient and upbeat. You could tell they work well as a team, and the vibe in the store was so positive.
