This is the second time that I’ve gone to this location. I think that when I went the first time the owner was there because I was greeted when I walked in and was explained all the different options. I got the chicken sandwich and was allowed to choose what I wanted on it. The sandwiches really really great.. This is the second time that I’ve been here, and I’m extremely disappointed. I got the same exact sandwich and it was not the same that I got last time. First of all, when I walked in, no one said anything to me (which is totally fine, but a little bit rude). I asked for the chicken sandwich that I got last time, and ask if I wanted spicy, medium, or mild. They didn’t ask me if I wanted anything else specific on it or not. I don’t know if this is a custom that they do or not, but it happened when I went for the first time so I expected the same treatment. The chicken sandwich this time was so soggy. The juices were spilling from the wrapping and got all over my napkins. Literally, the sandwich is drenched. The flavor is OK. Honestly, it’s mostly chicken with a little bit of cucumber and sauce in it. So it just taste like chicken and chicken juice. It’s not a nice balance like the sandwich I had the first time that I’ve been here. If this establishment is gonna keep handing out, kind of sloppy food, then I would say don’t come here.

Update: this place has fallen off hard since opening. The food sits out for a long time and is just not appetizing. Meat is dried out and gross. Mushy rice. Safest bet is the falafel. The tabbouleh is watered down with chopped lettuce, barely any parsley. If you’re going to eat here at least go for early lunch when the food is fresher. Don’t eat dinner here - the same food has been sitting out all day. Your order will probably be made wrong too. Original: I had the lamb shawarma plate with curry rice. The lamb had nice crispy bits from charring on the spit. Hummus was silky smooth and so flavorful. You can sub pita bread for falafel and tabbouleh salad for baba ghanoush. They have a self-serve salad bar with lots of options. Beautiful mosaic tiles and the crew was super nice. Welcome to the neighborhood!

I’ve been waiting for a while for this place to open. I’m so glad they’re in the neighborhood! Although I am a lil disappointed with the carrying of products that are on my boycott list, I won’t hold it against them. The service needs a little work, no greeting or help with the menu. Cook looked a tad aggravated. BUT! The food 100% makes up for all of this! It is so flavorful and delicious, Pilsen needed this! I will be back with family & friends to support. The pricing is also very fair!

Ok, so I've been here more than a few times so I can write a fair, consistent review.

Can confirm that chicken Shawarma sandwiches come overdrenched with sauce & cucumbers. Can confirm I've been greeted once out of the 5 time's I've been there since they've opened. Can confirm that the brown rice has a mushy consistency. Can confirm the cooks look miserable sometimes, like get a different job then. Nobody cares. Can confirm the sauces are good, and so is the falafel-when they season it properly.

I never get anything from the salad bar. Try getting there early enough for freshly sliced meats. The later you arrive, the dryer they'll be, i guess. Make sure to repeat yourself 2x to whoever takes your order and clarify that they've heard you correctly because they're known to make mistakes.

Sadly, this Sultan's doesn't live up to the Wicker &...
