Consistently Mid – Here’s Why This Spot Can’t Break a 3.9

There’s a reason this place can’t seem to climb past a 3.9 rating—and my experience made that crystal clear. I ordered through DoorDash, and they completely ignored my request for extra sauces and cilantro. But it gets worse—they only sent two out of the six tacos I paid for. Seriously?

The food itself? Dry meat, watery beans, and rice so mushy it might as well have been porridge. Nothing about it stood out in a good way, and definitely nothing that would bring me back.

If you’re craving tacos that actually hit, skip this spot and go to Mariscos Y Taqueria Chemas 2, El Taconazo El Tio & Birria, or Spicy Taco. These places don’t just get the order right—they serve food worth remembering and consistently earn 4.5 to 4.8-star ratings...

We went at a good time. Mother's Day, and it wasn't crowded. I have never been here but saw that it is near my neighborhood. I'm glad I went. We ordered the taco salad, shrimp soup, 3 steak taquitos, and a chicken taco. All of it is bomb.com except the soup. It was too spicy for me. That's the only reason. Stuck waiting for the North Ave. bus, walked over and asked for a menu. The gentleman was so kind, once I knew I had 15 minutes, ordered steak tacos to go. Did not eat tacos until several hours later…they were Awesome! I asked for slightly crispy shells, thus they will reheat well, they were delicious! A good portion of meat, lean and tender.
