Choppers — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Eating here was long overdue, but for the New Year I needed a new experience and this restaurant was a hit! Before I get to the food I want to say HOW IMPRESSED I was with how quick my order was ready. After ordering, my meal was ready in 60 seconds. That is UNBELIEVABLE! Next, the menu is reasonably priced. For a restaurant in the city of Chicago you can get a quality meal for UNDER $10. Now the food. The fact that my food was HOT! My cheese was MELTED onto my meat, the burgers were fresh, the patties were nice sized, they weren't stingy with the condiments or napkins, the customer service was good you can't go wrong here! The only thing that upset me is that I didn't visit sooner. And the shakes. Oh can't forget about them! This restaurant hands down has every other burger joint beat! Nowhere in the city are you going to get good quality tasting food for inexpensive costs with service that fast. I have to say it again for the people who doesn't want to wait forever or even 5 minutes for your food nor want to spend an arm and a leg for lunch. This place is for you. Much respect to Choppers! The guy who took our order was friendly. Service was pretty quick. I think we waited less than 15 min for our food. I had a 20 min ride home and by the time I got home the food was still a good temp.

My son and I got the Choppak. It was a decent size and I was prepared to be wowed. Unfortunately, I wasn't. The burger tasted like any other double cheeseburger from a hood spot. If you're familiar with the westside I'd compare it to a Star Gyro burger. I'm not a big fan of steak fries but they were ok. The Lettuce on my burger looked a little old. I couldn't tell if it was from sitting on the burger while driving home or if it was old to begin with. The burger came with a cole slaw.. it was not good at all. My son and I both hated it. I also got onion rings. They were probably the best part of my meal. My son said the burger was good but also nothing special.

My daughter got the Chicago dog. She liked it.

We also got Strawberry and Oreo shakes. The Oreo shake was really good! The Strawberry was good. I'd go back for the Oreo shake and onion rings. I'd like to try the Italian beef I've seen mentioned in a few reviews. Pricing wasn't too bad without the shakes.. The shakes...

I was in the mood for chili one day so I decided to eat at Choppers. Ordered chili with cheese and onion along with a pizza puff, meatball sandwhich and a quad burger to take home.

Overall everything was rather meh. Meatballs on the meatball sandwhich were huge, but it was kinda bland. I was disappointed in the quad burger though. Even though this thing was a behemoth, you can tell they don't clean the grill because all the patties tasted like soot. The lettuce and stuff on the burger was all soggy, the bread was thin and just as soggy as the lettuce. It was just a terribly prepared burger.

Pizza puff was the exact same puff you find at every other restaurant in the hood even though they were rather extravagant in the description so I thought it was freshly made even though it clearly was just one of those freezer bought ones.

Chili was fine, nice thick onion slices and thick strings of cheddar cheese. They threw in 2 packets of oyster crackers as well.

Everything was pretty cheap so I shouldn't have expected much. Surprisingly a 4 patty cheeseburger was only 6 bucks (take that...
