I decided to explore the new places in West Covina and this one was one on my list for at least the past 3 months The place was too hot as I entered but they advised me to seat near a ceiling fan which was ok but still it was hot, they need to turn the AC on.
I ordered the green pozole and I can say I've had better, a bit too watery, the chicken they put in the pozole tasted to me like it was shredded roasted store bought chicken. Their recipe needs to be revised, I took almost all of it home. Also ordered the pink strawberry lemonade and it was delicious, I wish they made them bigger, not enough for my food. The served it in a mason's jar which I loved. The people were very courteous and asked if everything was fine at least twice which I appreciated. I have to say that this restaurant is in a great location but they'll have to decide whether they want to serve Mexican food or Asian because I hope if they focus on one kind of food they'll do so much better. The restaurant was empty, I was the only customer, not normal for a Saturday late afternoon in West Covina. This is a new restaurant and I wish them all the best, I'll visit again and try their...
Read moreSpicy and dry Quesadilla. This restaurant is located in the very easy side of the shopping Plaza, not easy to find. However, the parking is easy and plenty. I ordered one breakfast burrito and one chicken Quesadilla. The burrito was tasty but it was filled with a lot of chunky potatoes in the middle. There was not many space left for beef asada and eggs. It was not cheap for such a potato burrito and it was about 16 dollars . The quesadilla was dry and spicy with very little cheese in it. It was not the simple and traditional Mexican Quesadilla I used to get: which was filled of soft Mozzarella white cheese and chunks of mild chicken meats. I was very disappointed about such a poor made Quesadilla in this Mexican restaurant. However, the restaurant was empty in the Sunday evening, so it was spacious and comfortable with the whole restaurant all for us to enjoy. When it comes to food, I will certainly not return to...

I tried the chilaquiles, nasi uduk, and chile relleno, and each dish was packed with flavor. The chilaquiles had crispy tortilla chips soaked in a rich, tasty sauce, topped with cheese, and fresh cilantro, creamy, tangy, and just the right amount of spice. The nasi uduk was soft, fragrant coconut rice and a mix of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors that made every bite delicious. The chile relleno was a cheesy treat, with a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with melted cheese, and topped with tangy tomato sauce. Every dish was made with care and tasted amazing. If you’re looking for delicious, comforting food, Sabino Kitchen is the place to go!
