I’ve visited the Ramen boiler room several times, including during its opening. The menu then was quite similar to what it is now. Some of my favorites is the Tonkotsu ramen, Spicy Yuzu Shoyu, and Karaage chicken—a deep-fried chicken served with dipping sauce. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is simple and cozy. The menu and its items are reasonably priced, providing excellent value for your money. In the past, I’ve gone in and ordered and just waited for my food. However, this time I tried ordering from the website. I’ve noticed some issues with the online website. I’m writing this review because I’m so disappointed with the service I received. I tried ordering online, but the website was malfunctioning and wouldn’t accept orders at the moment. I had to call the restaurant several times, but no one answered the phone, and it went straight to voicemail. The voicemail system wasn’t set up, which was also frustrating. When I finally got through to someone, they informed me that they couldn’t take phone orders because the orders wouldn’t be sent to the kitchen. So I asked if they could simply take the order to the kitchen, but they couldn’t do that either. It’s unbelievable! I would have said something else, but I chose not to. This is an absolutely terrible way to conduct business. I suppose they don’t value my money or my business—whatever. Overall, I believe the Ramen boiler room is definitely worth four stars. It could easily be five, but the inconsistent online experience makes me lean towards four stars. I think four is a...
Read moreI was a bit confused when I walked in wether to order at the front or sit down and order. But I just went to the front and ordered lol. The gentleman was very nice and welcoming and being able to see the kitchen allows me to see the process of how my food is being made. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and modern almost feels like I can do my work in here. As for the food I order the Seabura Garlic Ramen. It was a good amount of ramen for the price and did not disappointed with the pork. Three nice fatty delicious servings of pork and the broth had an amazing amount of flavor. I just wished there was more of a garlic flavor to it but still a delicious broth. The noodles were nice and thick and soft and had a great quality to it. The gyozas were nice and crunchy and had excellent taste. No complains. My friends order the Karasge chicken which I have to say did not disappoint at all. 6 nice thick pieces of chicken that were crunchy and juicy in the inside. And the spicy sauce that came with it had tones of flavor. My only wish is that the chicken it self had a bit more seasoning but still very enjoyable. All in all if you want some good local ramen at an affordable price of under 20 dollars this...
Read moreWhen you first walk in you can order at the counter or you can order table side through their QR code. I dined in and ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, karaage chicken (appetizer) and a coke. The karaage came out first, I had asked for the spicy dipping sauce but the person helping me at the counter also gave me the non spicy dipping sauce. The spicy sauce was more of a tickle to throat instead of a burn and the non spicy sauce was more savory and a palette cleanser to the spicy sauce. The tonkotsu ramen came out when I was just about done with the karaage. The broth is so good on its own and to have it along with the noodles, soft boiled egg, chashu and green onions it just completes the whole experience. I was given the spice mix to add to my bowl of ramen if I needed more spice and I know I’ll be back to try everything else they have. The service was quick since it was just myself for a short time until more people started showing up. There’s plenty of seats and tables for wheelchair access. The atmosphere is nice, it felt cozy and inviting with...
