Culver’s — Restaurant in West Des Moines

We live closer to Jordan Creek and usually go to that one, but today we decided to patronize this location on 22nd. Upon ordering, we repeated our order a few times, that wasn't the problem. After waiting and receiving our order, we drove off. We drove maybe five minutes and realized they had incorrectly made our sandwiches. We returned them. Isaiah (manager) asked if we just wanted him to give us slices of cheese (by this time it would have been 10 minutes...I told him no, we would like to have fresh sandwiches. He said fine but it was going to be five minutes. I pulled to the window. He asked for food back ..didn't apologize or anything.He appeared mad because I asked for new sandwiches. I told him he shouldn't ask for the food to be taken back because of covid ..I was willing to walk over to the trash and throw it away. He said no he wanted it. It would go in the trash inside I gave it back. I pulled forward and waited. After receiving this second order, they made the sandwiches wrong again. I took them back and kindly asked for a refund. Isaiah was upset but he did grant me the refund. I told him that at least they could have apologized for the wait and mishap. He said you got your refund. I said an apology is in order. He said nothing. I said ok. Thanks I will report this. His response was do what I have to do. I've been to this location several times and have never encountered a rude employee, ever. So we drove to our Jordan Creek location and got our sandwiches. This is an negative...

I Come here quite often, I live pretty close, and come here often for my lunch break while working construction close by. If you're not waiting in the lobby 5-10mins for one of the three people dishing orders and standing there to finally turn around and take your order. I'd say 2/5 times the order is correct. I'd say it's as simple as not getting bacon on my BACON cheeseburger. Or adding ketchup & mustard To my burger which doesn't come on it naturally on your menu, nor was it requested. Which is no big deal once in awhile. But it's every other day. Along the fact I've spent 20mins in the drive thru (after paying) a couple weeks ago during my (30min) lunch break. I was the only one in the, pulled up parking spots to wait on my food. Lady came out, handed MY food to the dude who was just pulling away from the drive thru window? I was literally the only other car. I had to come in and cause a scene. Which did no good because all I can do was eat two bites as I rushed back to work. When theyre on point it's not bad. But I think it's time to tell people to not waste your time gambling here.

UPDATE/CORRECTION I stand by all my previous statements. That being said, when approached with my dissatisfaction. Staff was always more than willing to correct things. I will start with the positive simply because the list is shorter. The staff tend to be very friendly and helpful. Specifically the managers Joc and Cory. The dining area and bathrooms are always well kept and clean. My food is always hot. However I've been having reoccurring issues over the last several months. Most of them being caused primarily by this girl who's always in the front counter named Blessed. Before i get to her i must mention that the pub burger is delicious, but unfortunately the last three times ive got it from this location my patties have been obnoxiously thin and rather unfulfilling. Now as for this joke of an order taker. Her name may be Blessed, but all i can feel cursed everytime i am forced to deal with her. Firet of all the vibe she give is that she really care less about whoever she is interacting with. Everytime she takes my order i HAVE to ask her to read it back to me before i pay because she never fails to goof up my order if i dont. Tonight i came in with 4 other people and she goofed up each order but mine. I am very unappreciative of her efforts or more so lack of. I greatly enjoy eating at culvers. Especially this one.
