Arden Café — Restaurant in West Hollywood

We were visiting the west coast and heard about this cafe through social media. Unfortunately, we had two bad experiences. First time we visited the place it was a Thursday morning and one of the cooks informed us that they were closed because someone called out. Despite that, my friends and I still gave this place a second chance. We returned on a Saturday morning. Upon arrival we gave the host our name and number. We shared that we did not have any reservations. They told us it would be about 40 mins wait and we agreed to wait. We sat and waited a full 55 mins. That is until one of the hosts tells us that they will not be seating us because all of their reservations showed up. I wish they would have shared this information since the beginning so we would make a better decision. I do not recommend this...

We made a reservation for this restaurant at 12:30, as you can see on Google AND Apple maps it states that this place is PET FRIENDLY. When we checked in, we let the hostess know we had a pup. She said she had to ask the manager, after she went to ask the “manager” she said they were going to seat us “in 20 minutes”. The 20 minutes pass and another hostess asks what we are doing standing to the side (as they’ve let everyone else pass to be seated). I told her we had a reservation, she looks at the dog and says “we only accept service dogs.” After that point I was so annoyed I asked to formally speak to the manager who never even showed up.

It was a very beautiful place, with lots of florals and nice decor for pictures. Very pink and girly, but fancy looking. The food was rly good, I got the breakfast plate, and the eggs were fluffy and delicious. The pricing was better than I expected around $15-$20 so for LA, it’s pretty normal. I came for brunch with a friend. We ordered at the window and had a number, and they brought out the food for us. I kind of wish they was more staff or signs to help people know how to order. Because it was kind of unclear, and there was not many staff around to ask for assistance. Overall I thought it was rly nice for a girl’s hangout for brunch or dinner!
