Very disappointing experience.. I came in looking for some jeans, and their selection was lackluster at best. Nothing was organized by size, and many things were half hanging on the hanger, making it very hard to look through their selection. After finding two pairs of jeans I asked to try them on, and was told they don’t have a fitting room, but that I could try them on in the middle of the store, which was a very strange thing to tell customers. I was clearly uncomfortable trying on jeans in the middle of the store, so I asked what the return policy was, and she told me that I could return my two items so long as they had the tags and were returned within 48 hours. Well after going home and trying on the jeans, I realized they weren’t for me, so I went back the next day to return. When I came back I was told that they never accept any returns. I explained that the employee the day before told me that I had 48 hours to return my items, however the employee refused to accept my return despite having all the tags on and the receipt and proof of transaction. If you’re going to tell customers about the return policy, then you really need to keep your word and honor that. Had I been told the truth that I could not return, I’d never have purchased anything from here. Honestly felt duped, and their employees were rude and not at all helpful or sorry.
UPDATE: despite the company “reaching out” to escalate things, as you can see below, I’ve never heard anything back from them. I tried reaching out to them using their provided email, and they’ve just never responded. Sure seems like a scam to make it look like they care when customers...
Read moreIt's also a wonderful experience to browse Out of the Closet, particularly the one located on Santa Monica Blvd, a couple blocks east of Crescent Heights. There you're sure to find an item of clothing, well-worn jeans..a gently worn t-shirt or jacket, a room full of hardbound + paperback books of all sorts...and the occasional lamp, end table or paper weight that you can't bear to pass up. Prices range from very reasonable, to a down right incredibly giveaway rate. If you are lucky you may find be a member of their sales staff who's even willing to bargain with you, especially if the item of your desire had been on the shelf 3-4 weeks or more (they keep track.) ** Definitely worth a visit. And a large part of their profits $$$ --minus salaries-- of course--goes to HIV and...
Read moreThis place is way too trashy to be in WeHo. The staff was incredibly rude and need a lesson in business and customer service. I walked in 15-20 minutes before closing and no one said anything to me about a closing time, not even when I brought an arms full of dresses to the dressing room. It wasn't until they literally shouted, yes shouted, at me while I was in the dressing room that I had to leave in 2 minutes. I got dressed and quickly left. I will never be back to any out of the closet stores; I would suggest you don't waste your time and do the same. A first time guest should always be treated with respect. No one said a word at all to me until they wanted me out of the store, well mission accomplished you will never see me...
