I booked for a Birthday dinner. We order the mini tacos platter, the dish was cold so every time we moved on to the next taco this one was getting colder and losing texture and flavor.

Seafood was TOO salty but good portion.

Chips and Guacamole pretty POOR portion for the price and compering that in other nice restaurants they give you chips for free and unlimited as a courtesy. The only redeeming feature is their mole sauce, which is very tasty, but they STILL give you VERY LITTLE.

MY RECOMMENDATIONS: Get HOT DISHES DEFINITELY. For food, in tacos: cochinita pibil, al pastor and birria tacos. In starters, empanadas definitely. In entrees, Seafood Paella SALT ON THE SIDE and LIME, because trust me it was PRETTY SALTY. And in drinks: HORCHATA DEFINITELY!!!! Provide a little dessert as a courtesy for special occasions or even a little Tequila shot to celebrate, we received NOTHING when LITERALLY every other restaurant gave us a courtesy when is a special occasion.

Service was pretty good, I think my server’s name was Mayra, she was pretty attentive all the time despite she was taking care of many tables. And the host, a young girl, she was...

Delicious food with the worst service I’ve seen in years. It’s not the staffs’ fault - they’re all very nice and seem to be working very hard.

But the management of this place seriously does not staff enough employees at any given time. I’ve eaten here several times and it was never busy, just me and 5-6 other customers in the whole place, yet it took an hour to get served. There was just 1-2 waiters total who were also working as bartenders going back and forth. And they were visibly tired and overworked.

It takes so long to get served I seriously don’t think I can eat here again or recommend it to anyone. Which sucks because the food is amazing. If the service was decent this would be a 5 star review— THAT’S how great the food is (and how slow the service is.)

Management really needs to get their act together because this place would be so great if it were operating correctly, but as it stands it’s just not worth a trip with so many other great options for Mexican food in the area. I don’t think I’ll be eating here again due to just how long it takes...

They charge for extras without telling you, the food is awful, too saltly and junky and the service is very slow. I went for dinner. It took a very long time for the food to come. People who ordered after us got their food first. I asked if i can substitute veggies for meat in a few dishes since I vegetarian and also asked for whipped cream instead of unhealthy corn syrup for my pancakes and when I asked for the bill, I saw they charged for extra for achacado in a burrito that had literally a table spoon of avacado. I was charged extra for salsa. I was charged for fake whipped cream that tasted awful. I was charged for peppers in a quesadilla that was literally the smallest and worst one I’ve ever had. Overall was charged over 10$ for extras that were mostly substituted for meat. They never told me about this which is common decency and common practice at a restaurant. If you do charge extra tell the customer when they order. Costed 66$ for two people and the food was...

Zarape kitchen is a fairly new mexican restaurant in West Hollywood. The menu is Your classic Mexican fair with super good prices for the neighborhood. We walked in and for a table right away. Service is great and the menu has all the Mexican food you want. Our tacos and enchiladas were very good, fresh and light. The chips and guacamole were also good. We got our food fast. The restaurant is still waiting for its liquor license so mainly beer and wines are offered but you can still get a margarita made with tequila that contains a lighter alcohol content. Parking can be found with valet in the lot but given it shares the lot with other businesses, that could be a problem. Overall, great experience for a nice get together with friends. Last but not least, breakfast was also on the menu but we did not try it.

Great 1st time! We chose this restaurant because it had great ratings. To start, great service. The server was very engaging and courteous and gave us good recommendations. We order the Molcajete, and a salad. The molcajete was visually stunning, have some many different proteins and vegetables. It was so big that 3 people can eat. Most important every single element of that dish had great flavor. It was the best dish We had this week. Now... the salad, was not great. We needed the green but next time We won't order that salad. They need to review that ítem. Another issue was the table size. It was too small for the two items we order to share. We highly recomend this restaurant. We are looking forward to visit It again. Hopefully We keep the rating at 5 stars.

Lovely Mexican in West Hollywood. Really nice ambience/vibe. Bit more upmarket than some other Mexicans we visited in the area. We had burritos - beef birria and carnitas. Very delicious but could’ve done with some guacamole inside or a dip of sour cream would’ve been a nice touch! But was probably the only normal size portion we had whilst visiting america (from UK) so at least we felt alright after the meal and not stuffed! The churros were delicious too (a dipping chocolate sauce would’ve been good tho!). Lovely service our waiter described all the different burrito fillings for us 🫶🏼 happy hour ended at 6:30pm which was sad as it used to be 7pm
