My partner and I just visited the Jordan Landing Costa Vida. We ordered the same order we get every time, 2 salads with no meat and pork enchiladas. Our pork enchilada always has "2 extra" sides of sauce. We always ask for no meat on the salads, just a bit more rice and beans instead. This has never been an issue. Today one of your managers, Sabrina, was there. She did her job in making sure we were charged for the two extra sauces, and then proceeded to tell the cashier our salads had extra rice and beans and to charge us we have never heard this charge before. I've been making this order since 2010 when I first started going to Costa Vida. I've never heard of this charge. So my boyfriend asks why we have never been charged that with no meat. Sabrina continued to BERATE us, telling us we asked for double rice and beans, we get charged. My boyfriend calmly explained we had no meat, and hadn't been charged this before. Sabrina continued to get heated and say she will call her General manager "right now" in a very immature manner. My boyfriend asked the cashier for her name as she was still loudly complaining, at which point she laughed at us. The cashier calmly explained the no-meat salad charge with the extra rice and beans in a calm, understandable manner and we clearly understood. This nice young man was probably half Sabrina's age, but acted twice it. Sabrina as she was laughing and yelling at us telling us how when we complain, we will be told her price is correct, while we got our drink. My partner replied, "Our complaint is that your customer service is lacking." And Sabrina yelled over customers, "Sorry you're just trying to save a buck." Which was extremely rude and offensive. I said, "Wow, that was no way to treat a customer," and she laughed at me and said, "I love it!" My partner and I have no need to "save a buck" and were just wondering why this charge had never been mentioned before.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Sabrina has treated us poorly. We were in one time when the store was out of beans I wanted and it caught me off guard and I had to rethink my order. She had no patience for me and was very rude telling me people were waiting and acting anxious, tapping and sighing because I didn't want refried beans on my salad.
I usually give people and places a chance to have a bad day. This offensive, extremely rude treatment was over the top. To the point of being laughed at by a manager in front of a store full of customers? Sabrina needs some serious training on how to talk to customers. As a loyal customer of close to ten years, I really hope something is done about the way this was handled today.
Update: I improved my rating based on the fact that I eat here so often and your customer service was quick to make contact with me and discuss my situation and...
Read moreI’ve been a huge fan of Costa Vida for years and have never had issues especially at the location on 7800 South. The service and food there are always on point, and they truly make every visit enjoyable. But my experience at the West Jordan location (right next to Chick-fil-A) was completely different and really disappointing.
They messed up 3 out of the 4 items in our order. No one asked what meat we wanted, and they didn’t follow the instructions we gave especially for my gluten-free kid’s meal. On top of that, none of the drinks were filled properly. The lemonade and horchata were barely poured, and the one that was close to full was completely watered down.
When I sat down to eat my sweet pork quesadilla, I realized the cheese wasn’t even melted. I went back and asked them to fix it, but even after that, it still came back cold and uncooked. I also clearly asked for my gluten-free cinnamon tortilla to be made without butter to avoid cross-contamination, and they still added it. That meant I couldn’t even eat it.
I left sad and frustrated because Costa Vida has always been my go-to spot, but this West Jordan location has let me down every time I’ve visited. I hope things improve, but for now, I’m really...
Read moreI thought i had ordered an online meal for my family, and when i got to this store (0042) they couldn't find it. Anywhere. So i sat down so i could wait for them to fix their mistake, and much to my surprise--- they were apologizing, they were offering me a drink, they offered me a dessert (oh, hell, yes!) And then, as you've probably guessed, we figured out it was MY mistake. Embarrassment I'm sure was written all over me. I felt so badly... here's me, throwing back the free Coke and Pie (that's not the part I felt bad about).. but they were really scrambling their butts off trying to figure out my lost order! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE.. MAKE SURE YOU PRESS THAT FINAL BIG BOSS 'CONFIRM' BUTTON. You may or may not have to endure a cold beverage and sweet bakery item, but these people have jobs to do, and who are we to screw up their fay by not slaying that final Confirm button and saving the tacos.
Sorry it's long, I ramble. I really didn't push the VERY LAST button, I really did get refreshments, and they did an incredible job getting my family dinner half an hour before closing. Oh, and don't put your pie in your purse. Have a nice one, all! ---...
