I'm very dissatisfied with my stay at My Place in West Jordan. When I first checked in, I was unsure in the duration in which I would need to stay. The staff member that checked me in went through the different rates, stating the longer I stay the lower the rate. I requested 3 nights. The day before I was due to check out, I requested another night. The next day, I requested 2 more days, totaling a week which should have qualified for the lower rate. The staff member that extended my stay stated that I did qualify, but she could not make the adjustments. She let me know that her manager would fix it in the morning. In the morning I spoke with the manager about the situation. She refused to change the rate, and said it was against policy. She said that the lower rate was to encourage customers to stay longer, and it rewards them for paying upfront. In addition, it creates less work for the staff. I felt that the manager, Ashli, was rude and very unhelpful. I do not feel that she belongs in customer service. She made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her and her staff. When she thought I was out of ear shot, I overheard her talking poorly of me with another staff member. That is not how you treat people. I don't completely follow the logic of the policy of not being able to lower the rates of previous dates. The entire time I stayed there, house cleaning never cleaned my room. I paid for the requested days upfront. The only additional work that was created for the staff was to ask them to extend my stay, and to charge my card. If a business wants to charge me an additional $250 because I took 10 minutes from their employee to help me, then I do not feel that the business appreciates me...
Read moreRay at the front desk was a lifesaver after I'd been locked out of my check-in for my reserved and paid for room across the way at LivAway Suits. If it weren't for her at My Place Hotel I would have had to spend the night waiting in my car all night until morning for someone to start working at LivAway suites again (there was no way I'd have been able to sleep in my car). She was kind and courteous and I thank her for providing some comfort (a room) and getting me checked-in during an extremely difficult situation!
My room was nice, clean, and had everything I could need; you must provide your own dishware but I was prepared for this for the other place already. It was such a relief to be able to unpack, get the pets settled and finally rest and eventually have some much-needed sleep. Late night and early morning was so quiet, I was so surprised, which made it that was easier to rest and relax. I understand noise level is dependent on guest's consideration but I was fortunate to have quiet fellow neighbors. For information for others considering staying: Style was a bit dated (bedroom area, not the the kitchen or bathroom area), it used dark browns and it wasn't the coziest feeling, but otherwise no complaints whatsoever; Certainly not a reason to not stay here, and I would most certainly...
Read moreWow! Where to even begin…? My husband has bad sleep apnea and needs to sleep with a CPAP machine. Well we were fast asleep when all of sudden the power went out which woke my husband because his CPAP machine stopped working, he tried flipping the breaker which was located in our room but nothing was happening. He woke me up with all commotion and I tried calling the front desk but nothing one picked up. So I had to go down to the lobby to tell someone about the power. She called her manager and they both had no idea how to fix the issue. They decided to put us in a different room. So my husband and I had to use our phone flash lights to try pack up our room in pitch blackness and move to a different room. Next day, trying to shower in the new room, barely any water pressure, the shower knob kept falling off. Brushing teeth and the sink drain stopper was stuck so the sink wouldn’t drain. They will not refund part of our stay because we booked through a “third party”. Pretty sure there is a way, they just don’t want to deal with it…Just an overall worst experience of my life. Will never stay at another My Place ever again. And I will advise everyone I know not to stay...
