Burger King — Restaurant in West Lafayette

I stop in at this burger king the other day for a quick lunch before going to work. There was 2 ladies and a baby on their way out as I walked in, and one person sitting in the lobby still eating. I walk up and place my order and the kid was very plesant. He handed me my drink cup, and 5 minutes later they call me order out. I go to the lobby to find a spot to sit, and all the tables were filthy... I find one that was not nearly as dirty as the other and sit using my napkin to wipe off the crumbs and ketchup spot on the table. I begin to eat my lunch and start looking around, and the floor is really dirty. Food and trash scattered around the lobby. I could not believe how dirty it was in there. All while the crew Is behind the counter having a good laughing and joking around. I was sitting there for almost 45 mins and not one person came out to clean or at least spot sweep the floor or wipe tables off. The staff could spend more time cleaning the building than having a party in the back. The manager should have had some of them taking care of this, but he was too busy doing all the work while the kids played around instead of delegating cleaning tasks or setting any expectations for them. Now on to my food order....I am not a picky person when it comes to my food, but I want my food hot when I am paying 10 bucks for a meal. My fries were nice and hot, but the burger was really not hot... I think the meat had been sitting there for a little bit past the fresh off the grill mark. All in all I think this store needs to have its corporate office take a look at how things are being ran, and make some changes. I don't mean fire every person, but they obviously need some coaching, and...

I'm not a massive fan of Burger King as a chain. Their food has always been towards the bottom of my fast food preferences. However, compared to other places in the area, this location is an oasis of late night food. They're open later than most, and I've generally had no issues (especially when compared to the McDonalds on campus...). I've ordered maybe 6 times in the last 6 months via mobile order, and they've gotten my order right every time. Occasionally the food won't be the freshest, I can tell the nuggets have been sitting for a bit. But hey, it's 12:30am and they're understandably a bit tired.

My only critique is recently I ordered an Impossible Whopper, and there was bacon stuck to the bottom bun. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, but I wanted to try the Impossible Whopper. If I was a vegetarian, I would have been upset. Since I'm not, it wasn't an issue for me personally. Obviously they can't use completely separate equipment for the vegetarian menu, but a piece of bacon felt a bit blatant. Maybe avoid if you're vegetarian/vegan, but you're probably not if you want to go to BK.

The Impossible Whopper was delicious though, would...

I think some of the hamburgers are better than restaurants that brag about their hamburgers.

Okay tonight, 10/22/21 We went through to drive through and it took forever. I think we waited 25 minutes to get through the line. I'm totally aware of hired help shortage so I'm careful about being critical. When I finally got my sandwich, we asked is it warm and the young man said oh yes.
