Seriously wanting to charge 20% tip for To go orders. Looking at the recent reviews that were posted today, I’m glad I’m not the only one who is a little ticked off with this. I’m sorry every togo order does not tip (as the guy over the phone stated why they started the mandatory tip charge of 20%) I always tip no matter the service dine in or carry out, but wanting 20% for bagging an order is a little outrageous.!.!.!.! Want to know how to kill your business, this is the way to do it. Hunters has always had great food, but the service lately, not so much, but the food makes up for it. Now with this mandatory tip, they just put the nail in the coffin, we won’t be coming back.

Update: The reason you are not seeing a charge is I call back and canceled the order when my wife said they were going to add the “mandatory 20% tip”. The gentleman who took the order did call us back later this evening and left a message stating there was miss communication from him and management regarding the this mandatory tip and would like to offer us a complimentary meal. I online ordered my food $34.00. I ordered what was on there site as lunch sandwich and sides then when I'm almost at the restaurant I get a call, they don't have my food only on fridays. They did nothing to try to fix there screw up so I canceled it. So I was going to order something somewhere else and just be late to work since I had not eaten today. I went to order food somewhere else and my card declined because they took the money off my card!! When called back all they kept saying was it will take a little while to return. Why did you even take my money if you knew you didn't have what I ordered, Or inform me of that when refunded because I would have changed my order and waited. First time tried here on Saturday so decided to order tonight and I will never spend money there again!!! If you work in Healthcare and need to know you will have your food when you get there. We’ve eaten here before. The food is always good, service can be iffy (slow & a little indifferent). Yesterday we went for mid afternoon lunch. Seated right away, very few customers. About 30 minutes after ordering, we hadn’t received our food even though people who arrived & ordered probably 10-15 minutes after us got their food. I commented to server. She says their sandwiches are thinner & take less time to cook. Burgers are thicker & have to cook longer. “Seriously, I said, I’ve never needed 40+ minutes to cook a burger. Within a minute after that, our food was brought to our table. So, over 40 minutes to cook a Hunters Pub Burger. After that, we had no communication with the server & had to ask the nice young bartender for our check.
