Sushi Don — Restaurant in West Lafayette

Outrageously good sushi for the price of mediocre sushi. I would order from here all the time if I had the budget for it.

Eel Loves Avacado (8/10) is a basic yet delicious roll with, you guessed it - eel and avacado. Don't be scared if you've never had eel, it doesn't have a super distinct taste.

The Mountain (10/10) roll is insane. You will need to have at least a 2 inch mouth opening capacity to take it in one bite.

Super Dragon Ball (9/10) is not what I expected, but it is worth every single mouthwatering bite.

Salmon Avalanche (8/10) has cream cheese on top, which I'm usually not into, but it really hit the spot. Also had some crab in it to compliment the salmon.

Lion King (7/10) is a little heavy on the toppings, similar to The Mountain, but not as good in my opinion. The crab topping on this one completes it.

Orange Dragon (9/10) is very tasty and pairs extremely well with the wasabi. The sauces are so good I wanted to lick the tray clean. One of my favorites!

The Caterpillar (6/10) roll is the first roll I've ever been disappointed with. It's pretty bland, in my opinion, which may be due to the avacado topping. This may be a good option for someone who wants to try sushi for the first time but doesn't want anything crazy.

Lobster (8/10) is a stellar choice for spice lovers. The jalapeños add a little heat and also a beautiful crunch texture. Tempura paired with lobster is exquisite!

007 Roll (7/10) is pretty forgettable. Only 6 pieces, which won't fill my belly, and not very many ingredients, which make it somewhat bland. The California roll of cooked signatures.

First time trying this restaurant, and we chose based on the quick estimated delivery time and good reviews. Didn’t get to try the food because we never got our delivery order (estimated delivery time 25-50 minutes). The order tracker kept updating to say that a new driver was on their way, then they would get to the store and a new driver would be assigned, the process would restart. Finally, after an hour of waiting, I got a text from the third driver saying the order would take another 20-30 minutes. I tried to call the store 3 or 4 times but no one answered, and the automated message was generic. I wasn’t sure it was the correct number. Eventually I got in touch with the other locations manager and got told my order was ready, which it wasn’t. The manager said they were very busy and they would get my order prepared when they could but they had to go in order. They also blamed a current promotion for the delay? Not sure what the promotion was as there was nothing advertised online. Despite being told my food would (hopefully) be delivered an hour late, the manager did not offer any remedies, discounts, future credits, etc. I cancelled my order and went...

They also have a fantastic deal where you can get one roll free when you purchase two, which is a great value.
