MAJÉ Sushi (West Lafayette) — Restaurant in West Lafayette

The customer service is horrible. Not the service from the gentlemen making the food but from the one who takes the money. This is my second bad experience with him. It makes me feel some type of way spending my money there. He was even rude to his worker. When the worker couldn't understand what the order was, he asked the cashier what he meant ant he was rude to him and told him to figure it out. I am a business owner in the mall and believe that customer service is key in serving. The cashier does not demonstrate that at all. Even when I asked if they had a certain sauce he quickly responded "No" and disregarded me. Then the one making the food stepped in and said they did have it. The ones preparing the food should be up close and personal dealing with the people because they have great customer service. They want to serve, however the cashier needs to be taught what serving means before he should be put before customers. Not a people's person at all. His whole demeanor demonstrates that he's not there for the service of the people. If you don't believe me, just ask the men who prepare the food. He treats them rude as well. I hope that this is corrected because the food is great, but what is great food, with rude service. I will be returning when I see better service. Everyone deserves a second chance, in which I've given him, but my next visit will be the third. My prayer is that he learn something from this matter and change. I went around 10 P.M. and there was this really friendly lady it was my first time going there and I was kinda nervous, I didn’t know what to order or where to sit. Let’s just say I was lost. (I love trying new things, new places to eat ect... and the only bad thing about that is that you don’t know what to expect or if it’s worth the money.) I order the Veggie roll and the Veggie plus roll. The lady was super nice which I absolutely love. I got my sushi and it was delicious!! Trust me when I say that It was so good! They make this sauce which I don’t know what’s in it but it tasted almost like peanut butter and the sauce was so tasty! Good sushi options, including raw and cooked rolls. Everything is very fresh and looks and tastes great. Never been disappointed here. Miso soup is served with all sushi dishes, it's pretty good. The gyoza dumplings appetizer is really good, I reccommend it! Drink options aren't great. Service is always really fast, servers are kind and helpful. Very considerate with special requests/dietary needs (for example, someone in our group was allergic to sesame seeds, so we were able to get all the rolls we ordered with no sesame seeds). Though the restaurant isn't very big, we have taken a group of 8+ people and we're seated relatively quickly (less than 10 minute wait) for a late dinner.
