I have been coming to this subway for almost 5 years now. It would be safe to say that I am a regular. This branch was performing excellently when Kevin Hammer was a manager about 4 years ago. In the past year, Paul I believe was appointed as the store manager. As Kevin’s apprentice, Paul has all the amazing qualities of an excellent manager. However, I believe that he is not being given the proper resources (individuals in the early talent pool) to allow his store to function at its best. Day before yesterday I walked into Subway and this worker behind the desk (wears glasses, buzz hair cut with a scar on the right side of his head) asked me how I was doing. I said, “fine, thank you.” As I proceeded to entail my usual order, he stopped me and made a racist comment!!! He said, “SO, DID YOU GO BACK TO YOUR HOME COUNTRY FOR CHRISTMAS & NEW YEARS?” I looked at him in shock, I mean I was shaken and in angst/confusion I replied, “where would I go?! I’m from West Lafayette, IN... I live here.” He then proceeded to antagonize me and asked me for my name, when I responded, he ridiculed me and said, “Oh what a wonderful name you have,” in a very demeaning manner!! I’ll have you know mister, if you think that only white people live in the United States of America, then you are astonishingly mistaken!!! I will not, I repeat, I will not be coming back to this Subway branch until this employee is fired for miss-orderly conduct of customers. As for Paul, I believe that he is hands down the best manager for this branch. However, people higher up in the chain need to do a better job of providing him with valuable, educated and competent enough candidates for the job so that his customers are not being targeted by the color...
Read moreDrive-thru order taker was very rude and kept on interrupting me. After about 10 minutes of this, I had to blatantly ask the guy to please stop and to just let me order my food. The entire order was of course wrong, like they didn’t even put cheese on a steak n cheese..? Called to talk to the manager and was told they could do nothing except have me come back the same day to get it remade. When I said I would not be driving back today and that this was ridiculous the manger said it was not his fault since he didn’t make my food. …maybe find some new crew n managers that can hold themselves accountable because this is...
Read moreCame in from Chicago to drop our son off to Uni. Family was hungry. Hit up Subway on Sagamore. The lady working there on Friday night was full of life and amazing. She was respectful to not just us but all the customers that came through. She made all of our sandwiches fantastic. The restaurant was clean, including the restrooms.
I don't usually tip at Subways but I had to here. She recognized I was vegetarian by my order and without me saying anything, she used a new knife and gloves to make my sandwich. I was blown away by her carefulness and attentiveness. Someone give her a raise!
