Great Food, Disappointing Service
We visited Fiesta Café in Milwaukee on the morning of May 10th to celebrate my mom, and while the food was absolutely amazing, the service left a lot to be desired this time around.
Weâve been to this place before and always had a wonderful experience â friendly staff, great attention to detail, and those nice little touches like complimentary chips or pan dulce that make you feel welcome. Unfortunately, this visit didnât live up to that standard.
Our server seemed distracted from the start. We didnât receive any chips or sweet bread like we usually do, and when it came time to order, she wasnât very attentive to our needs. I ordered the salmon tacos with mango pico de gallo, but when the food arrived, it came with regular pico. Not a huge deal, but when I politely asked about it, she insisted it never came with mango.
I asked to see the menu, mostly because I was planning to order dessert, and there it was â clear as day: salmon tacos with mango pico de gallo. When I pointed it out, she sarcastically asked, âDid you ask for the menu just to check that?â I explained I was also ordering dessert, but she rolled her eyes and replied, âWell, I donât remember it coming with mango,â and just walked away.
To top it all off, she added her own tip to the bill, which was surprising since we were only a party of five and tipping should reflect the service â and honestly, the service didnât earn it.
I truly love the food here and wanted this to be another great memory with my family, but the poor service really took away from the experience. Iâm not sure if weâll be back after this.

Hoping this was just an off day, but it was a disappointing...
Read moreI will give this a quick review. I have waited for this location to open and finally it is! I love the food at the 1st and Greenfield location so I was anticipating the same here and I was right! I ordered the seafood Paella my son got shrimp tacos and my wife ordered Chicken mole enchiladas. Oh yeah we ordered 2 pastor and 2 barbacoa tacos. The Paella was delicious but I have to admit I don't really know how to eat crab. It seems like so much work to get crab meat out. Other than that the shrimp đŠ, clams and oysters were super good! I really enjoyed my dish. My son devoured his shrimp tacos! My wife on there hand found some small bones in her enchilada and the sauce was regular salsa roja (red sauce). Our waitress was excellent đ and got my wife a new dish immediately. This wasn't the best mile sauce though. It was more like a mix of red sauces. All the other food was very good! The atmosphere was inviting and made you feel good. This restaurant is smaller than the original one but it still was very nice. Typically any restaurant that the Garibaldi group opens is good! Can't wait to try...
Read more"Settled" on Fiesta Cafe when we realized all the nearby brunch places would be packed around noon on a Saturday. The service and food went above and BEYOND our expectations for what seemed like a fairly empty restaurant during brunch rush. Colectivo coffee sold here and you get complimentary pan dulce which was really cute and comforting. All the food we tried had AMAZING flavor and was prepared with love and care. Friendly, attentive waitress and staff. Clean and stylish inside. They sell candy from locals located on their bar and there's gambling machines inside too. The menu is HUGE and features a lot of amazing food and drinks including fresh juices & smoothies. There's so much stuff, I will be back to try. This is the definition of a hidden gem!! I can't speak to the other location on 1st street but this location in West Milwaukee is...
