KFC — Restaurant in West Orange

First of all we ordered our food online with a 20 min grace from when we ordered till when we set the time to pick up the order i arrive intime to be informed there was no chicken cooked ok i understand resturant rushes as i have managed restaurants in my past but as i was told that it would be a 25 min wait for my chicken the cashier and the cook started arguing and screaming at one another about the situation 😳 so then i wait in ny car for 40 more mins for my order that when i got home was only half way correct to say it was unprofessional and a horrible dinning experience is an understatement from now on ill drive the 15 mins to bridge city when thw family wanta KFC 1 star would not recommend this location .......this is not the first time something like this has happend either but having restaurant experience i try to give grace and to be compassionate with my reviews but thia experience needs to be shared to protect others from wasting...

Tried to eat here a couple nights ago. Walked in and there was a crowd of people just standing or sitting inside the restaurant waiting. After standing there for a bit waiting to place an order, one of the employees yelled out to the front that he was sorry for the wait and he would be there in a few minutes. Waited a few more minutes, he still didn't come up front. We asked people how long they had been waiting. One lady was waiting for a doordash pick up and had been there 10-15 minutes. And two other said they had placed their orders and had been waiting for 20 minutes. With no end in sight for getting to order or receiving food, we left and went across the street to a different restaurant.

On top of the non-existent service, the a/c was broken. So it was cooler outside (in June) than it was inside...

I've gone to this location several times since it's opened. At first everything was wonderful, but lately there has been a noticeable dip in quality where the chicken is concerned. Today, I found the chicken was strangely textured with a grey-ish, almost burnt looking cast to it's batter.

It's difficult to describe how it tasted, other than "off." The thought that kept repeating was "day old, reheated chicken," though I have no proof that was the case.

I ended up casting it aside as inedible, and wish I'd thought to take pictures beforehand. Sadly, this isn't the first time this has happened, but it is the worst in a slow decline over the past few weeks.
