Tried to submit a survey regarding my experience, but it was “too long”. My husband, 5 year old son and myself went to dinner - something we hardly do, because finances are tight and life is expensive right now! But we had such a long day and wanted to treat ourselves to a nice family dinner out. We arrived around 9:20, were greeted after a couple mins and brought to a table. We passed several empty but still dirty tables. At the time, I think there were only three or four other tables seated in the whole restaurant. So why did it take almost 10 mins for a waiter to come greet us and begin to take our order. We put drinks and our son’s meal in… the service was so sporadic. My husband ordered a cookie magic shake which came in a dirty cup only half filled. No spoon. We were given no cutlery. I would be happy to provide a Live Photo of him physically getting up and getting some silverware for our table. This was after about 30 mins of being seated and asking TWICE. So I see no excuse for this. Our son ordered chocolate milk- the waitress complimented him on how well he ordered. Then it took 20 mins or so for her to bring him a Coke?? Then we asked for the proper beverage and she questioned us, as if we ordered the wrong drink? No. He’s five, he hates soda. So why? His food came out NOT EVEN ON A PLATE. And that “fun” plate was what he was looking forward to. With a salad that we had no fork to eat with… the Mac and cheese was bitter and odd tasting. We sound up sending it back and asking for chicken strips instead. The waitress said she went to talk to her manager about the plating and they informed us they would be comping his meal. We never asked for or prompted this. Yet it was still on the bill at the end of the meal. Twice, to our knowledge, the waitress went back and said she spoke with the manager. That first time and then the second time to adjust the bill. The manager never once showed “her” face or provided any type of accountability, explanation or customer service. We finally got our food at 10pm (after sitting in a near empty restaurant for 40 mins) and it wasn’t even hot or fresh or properly seasoned. Ordered well done burger, got a medium. Then we were essentially rushed out because closing time… Like YOU MADE US WAIT AND NOW WE can’t even eat???? I cried on the way home. That was 50 dollars on a debit card and still a 10 dollar cash tip. I had to work so hard to waste my money at this wretched establishment....
Read moreWas happy to hear they added the Impossible Burger as I’m vegan and don’t support eating animals. I brought some non vegan friends to eat here and they wanted to try the impossible Burger out for themselves. When we all ordered the impossible Burger the waitress who’s name was Courtney asked if we normally ate meat. I told her my friends do but I don’t. She then proceeded to tell them they may not like the Impossible Burger, telling them she tried it and didn’t like it. Then after her unasked opinion was said, which I was thinking “whatever” She goes on even more saying “I’m a meat eating gal, and I like my steak” “If you guys don’t like it I can switch it out for you after you take a bite” she started naming other meat types of Burger they had as if she was trying to convince my friends from ordering what they ordered. She then compared the impossible Burger to dirt by saying “To me since I like meat, that Burger is like scooping up dirt outside and eating that” Me and my friends were shocked at how ridiculous this girl was at trying to convince them from trying something they came here just to try. I kept my mouth shut. When she served the impossible burgers, she told my friends “Good Luck” I’m pretty sure you shouldn’t be bashing any products from a place you work for and she was way out of line the entire time with how much she went on and on. You would have thought she worked for a slaughterhouse she was advertising the meat and against this plant based burger. Despite her negativity that even my non vegan friends were shocked at, my friends enjoyed it and told her so when she picked up our stuff. When it was time to pay, she messed up all the checks when we told her that each person was paying separate by putting some peoples orders on each other check and making it a whole confusing mess, then took forever to fix it when at this point we just wanted to get away from this negative lady. I always tip good to people but this was the first time I didn’t leave a tip because of how ridiculously unprofessional and offensive she was. The only reason I didn’t give this place a 1 Star was because I had been there 1 time before for a pick up order and the bartender had AMAZING customer service. Crazy how 2 different people in the same place can make you feel like you’re in a totally...
Read moreI REALLY wanted to love this place... I'm the type to default to a burger when eating out, so when we decided to give Red Robin "Gourmet" Burgers & Brews my hopes (& expectations) were high... & Unfortunately I was left greatly disappointed. When we arrived it was quite busy (which made my expectations get a little higher, assuming it must be good since it was packed). Because it was so busy we decided to order for pickup & ended up parking directly in front of the order counter, & were able to see the exact moment out order hit the counter for pick up. The positive: the food was on time, like exactly on time to the very minute it was expected to be... The negatives: we had ordered shakes, which not only were the wrong flavors, but also were completed melted into flavored milk... Our drinks were also watered down from melted ice. My husband's sunrise lemonade still tasted pretty good, but my "freckled" lemonade was a let down (it's advertised as strawberry lemonade with diced strawberries in it)... My lemonade only had ONE "freckle"... A single piece of diced strawberry. Then it came to our burgers themselves... My husband's was suppose to be a cheese burger with bacon, lettuce & mayo, cooked with no red showing... Instead he got a dry cheese burger with no mayo & everything (pickles, tomato, onions - which he hates, & a floppy / soggy single piece of bacon)... My burger was suppose to be a cheddar burger with all the topping except pickles with mayo & cooked with red showing... I received a dry burger with only lettuce & pickles.... Even though we had watched our food hit the counter as soon as the app said it was ready, neither of our burgers were hot & both of our French fries were cold, soggy & in need of salt. For $71 we will never be trying them again & highly recommend against anyone else going so either. How do you mess up burgers & fries? They say: "Red Robbin, YUM!" It's more like: "Red Robin, YUCK!"....
