Returning to a restaurant is always a true test. The first time can be a pleasant surprise, but the second visit determines whether it truly deserves a spot on your list of favorites. Rocco’s Tacos in West Palm Beach was one of those places that left us wanting more, so my girlfriend and I decided to come back and see if the magic was still there. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy. The restaurant was packed, the TVs were broadcasting multiple sports events, and the combination of dim lighting with Mexican-inspired décor created the perfect balance between modern and authentic. It feels like a place where food, fun, and great vibes naturally come together. A Must-Have Starter We kicked off the night with an absolute classic that you simply cannot skip at Rocco’s Tacos: the guacamole with tacos. It’s practically a ritual at this restaurant, and skipping it would mean missing out on one of their best offerings. We ordered the guacamole with a bit of spice, and honestly, it was outstanding. Fresh, creamy, and with the perfect balance of flavors, the spice added just the right kick without overpowering the natural avocado taste. It was served with crispy tortillas that made every bite even better. Tacos: Great Variety, Flavor, and Generous Portions After whetting our appetite with the guacamole, we went for six tacos of different flavors. The first thing we noticed was their generous size, which is always a plus. The meat was well-seasoned and juicy, and the ingredients were fresh and well-balanced. Each taco had its own unique character, from classic carne asada to more adventurous choices like fish and adobo pork. We paired our meal with an ice-cold Corona and a Coca-Cola, which rounded out the experience perfectly. Service: Good, But Could Be Improved As for the service, it was generally good. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, but the wait time was a bit longer than expected, especially given how busy the night was. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s an area that could be improved to make the experience even smoother. Final Verdict Rocco’s Tacos remains a solid choice if you’re looking for great Mexican food in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The guacamole is a must, the tacos deliver on flavor, and the ambiance is perfect for a night out with friends or a casual date. Despite the slight delay in service, it’s still a place I would return to without hesitation. Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️ 📍 Location: West Palm Beach, FL 🍽 Recommended for: Mexican food lovers, casual outings, watching sports with friends 🌮 Must-Try Dish: Guacamole with tacos ⚠️ Area for Improvement: Speed up service during peak hours If you’re looking for a place with great ambiance, excellent food, and an authentic Mexican experience, Rocco’s Tacos is definitely worth considering.

The food took a while to come out. Thus naturally as people do we had mentioned that 1) it was taking a while for the food to come out 2) our plantains that we ordered never came 3) We got someone else’s bill and then when we got ours we mentioned to take off the charge for the plantains. Our waiter Keeshawn was rude. He was pretty helpful at first letting us know that our food was going to come out and at serving us. However when we had mentioned our complaints he started mimicking us in a whining voice to our faces 😭. We were so tired and hungry that honestly I wasn’t gonna deal with it. Then he got heated when we mentioned our plantains never came and that we should have told him. and like almost blaming us that the plantains never came. Basically implying that it’s our fault the plantains didn’t come bc we didn’t say anything. However we were told that our plantains would be out by another worker so we thought they were just again taking a while for the food. But they never came. Also since we were told the kitchen was super busy for the food to come out we were fine with changing the check and leaving. Again I honestly don’t think my parents or I were being rude when we just wanted the right bill. So yeah, the service was bad. He also said at the end that everytime he would pass our table we had rude faces but we were just super tired. I also thought it was unfair that he judged us just by the look of our faces. The chicken Nachos were pretty fire though. They were good. Tacos however were not as good as the nachos.

Food: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Atmosphere: 5 stars Why am I giving one star rating then?: The management. I had a great dinner, the tacos were superb, the service of Janina was outstanding, top level .But when I was asked for dessert, I asked to charge my phone for a few minutes, Janina declined mentioning the local policies, but when I explained her that my phone was dead and I needed to get Uber to go back after, she immediately understood and tried to help, but the “manager” came to my table giving me a speech about the policies of the place, I explained to him again about I needed to get back in Uber, he repeated like a robot about the same policy speech. I ask him if we was the manager, he said “no”, I ask him to call the manager, he said “he is not here” I told him I need a solution, he declined, I told him I have to go then to a place in front of the street to get a charger, he literally replied “have a good time” “enjoy the rest of your day” and then he just walked away. I crossed the street and the place in front helped me charging my phone for a couple of minutes to get my ride back. At least you have good neighbors doing your job. In summary, if you don’t have a manager in place, the only reason why you get over 4 star rating is because you have an outstanding personnel in service and kitchen, like Janina. Save money on the management and give it to team that is not running away from problems but helping. Not coming back ever again.

Rocco’s Tacos is definitely a well known staple here in WPB. I feel like it’s an attraction/restaurant that everyone knows about! This was our second time visiting Rocco’s, our first time was last year when we came to WPB for our first time. The layout of the restaurant is amazing! They have both inside and outside seating, but even the inside is very airy and open to the outdoors! It’s an amazing ambiance and very well done. Our service this time was subpar. Not to anyone’s fault, but we just drew the short straw with service this time (it happens!). The other tables surrounding us appeared to have superb service with friendly waitstaff! We ordered drinks and chips and salsa for an appetizer. The chips are salsas are super yum!! It comes with three different style salsas and they are all delicious! The portion of the chips is huge too. The margaritas were good, nothing special. A little heavy on a mix taste for me, but they were not “bad”! I would try different ones next time! The watermelon marg didn’t taste like watermelon, only tasted like house margarita mix. Would definitely try another one to compare! Rocco’s is definitely a cool spot to hit up if you’re in WPB, even if it’s just for drinks and appetizers!

I have been here a few times throughout my years visiting WPB. I used to love it but now it’s just okay. I went to Rocco’s for Lunch on a Friday and we were seated quickly on the patio. One of our water glasses had someone else’s lip stick on it (which the waiter caught), but it should have never been on the table. My menu was also dirty. We started with the guac, which used to be made table-side but no longer is. I thought it was watery and wasn’t my average. I got the “special” of the BBQ Pork belly tacos, which simply consisted of pork belly and corn, and one of the tacos had an onion and jalapeño. I’d like to see more toppings and it was just okay. I got a side of rice, which didn’t have much flavor and a side of refried beans, which were very good. My wife got steak tacos which were watery at the bottom and my aunt got the chicken burrito, which she enjoyed. We enjoyed a few light beers with lunch. It was early in the day and I think Rocco’s is much more enjoyable at night when everyone is drinking margaritas and enjoying each others company. Average food but good atmosphere and friendly service, fun spot for a night out.

Spending a nice Saturday morning/afternoon with my husband and grandkids, visited Starbucks which is next door, because we never had this place before me and my grandkids sat at a table outside while my husband reviewed the menu on an outside wall. No one came out to greet us, after a few minutes the General Manager Ashley came out walked past us escorting the other couple inside must have been a friend I assume, when we were there first, instead of her asking how she could help she stated this is not Starbucks you all can sit over there!!! Really is what I wanted to say to her!!! It was very rude and disrespectful!!! My husband and I left to get pizza instead!!! I don’t know how she is a General Manager treating customers like that!!! She will cost your business customers and money!!! I will never eat here because of that and I will make sure everyone knows!!! I’m big on customer service and I’m sure your company is as well!!! Sorry she has to work on a Saturday during the holidays be very mindful of how you treat people. Not nice
